I understand because personally I guess my definition of a big update would be something which would involve new car brands or something like that and a new map but smaller updates can simply include a few cars added or a upgrade to a currently existing map I guess

I’m glad someone mentioned the parking garage. In 0.29, they added construction at the north entrance where it was just a closed garage door. I was curious if they updated it and they did! Looking forward to the finished product and will be nice for Police scenarios like dropping off suspects. I’m loving the updates, I hope that industrial update will 0.31 as this seems like prep work.

The insurance should be able to deny you if you crash to much

Police chase AI also got updated: Scintilla will now aggressively crash into you from behind, and you cannot easily pass Police cars like before, especially the Scintilla. Escaping from Police cars is now a real challenge!

I want to see a repair system like SLRR. The modern soft body physics would just be so much fun to work with repairing a wreck by hand.

The new career mode features are pretty cool. Career mode will probably be really cool when completely finished. Also the ffb update seems pretty usefull, haven't tried it yet but before the update it was pretty "bad" (with the 8nm fanate there were lots of sudden ffb "spikes" that were almost dangerous as well)... beam devs are really amazing

Yeah, playing BeamNG on my CSL DD injured me twice💀 But as mentioned in the video, it has definitely been improved by miles!

It’s crazy because quite often as I go to sleep at night I imagine beamng as I want the full release to be and boy, I feel like I’m just straight manifesting !!

You can actually already use the police station parking lot by going into world editor (F11), klicking on the Scaffolding and pressing delete. Only the lowest level of the garage is bugged, the rest is finished.

Rome wasn't built in a day, I won't be mad if tire thermals don't come with the next update but 10 updates after that. It has taken many years to get to where we are now ! So I thank the devs. I also thank you for your video which I enjoyed.

I played the update like the day it came out and for how "work in progress" the career mode is, its already rather comprehensive, with say an hour or 2 of missions and whatnot Edit: one thing i would love to see in the career mode is the choice to use your own personal vehicle in the laborer missions(if you have a compatible vehicle and the company doesnt require their own vehicles or whatever)

I wish beamng had more debris when car crashed, like more pieces, broken glass

They've been releasing new minor version updates very frequently. They're already up to 0.30.3 as of today. It feels like they've been dropping them daily. Interestingly they just added Aurata interior click targets and tied the dashboard light to ignition, and have continued to refine the jbeams of most of the cars with each patch. They've also fixed several things with the WCUSA expansion, and I suspect the grass and other fixes will be implemented with a point revision. This is wild. I've not seen development pace acting like this before. The main patch probably was rushed, and now they're pushing the fixes and finishes as they go. Footnote, I don't know if it's just me or in general, but currently Vulkan is completely broken on Linux/Proton. The older pre-VR version of the renderer would at least load in, but would register a crash every time I exited the game. It was also just more likely to crash in general. (Although footnote the game just seems a little crash-happy in general on this PC/install. I'm going to blame it on my officially unsupported distro.) Now I get a bizarre hard crash of my entire x-session after a wild session of flashes and graphical artifacts as soon as I load into a map in Vulkan. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a thing with my specific configuration. Proton was meant to run on ubuntu- and arch-flavored distros, but I run a different distro.

Last time I tried it I got a crash of my whole Plasma Wayland session using the Linux build when loading into a map. So it's not just you. Might be an AMD GPU thing?

what Id love to see in career mode: An option were you click for a new save file, choose what dealership/garage you start at, and to be able to choose your starting money. Id also love to be able to buy and fix up abandoned/wrecked cars, so you can save money, but play longer.

I just love the fact that the beamng maps are somewhat evolving!

Beam NG definitely could use tire physics and dynamic weather, that would add so much to the game

I would love regional traffic and the ability to set the vehicles spawning in traffic manually. This would also mean that semi-trucks and larger panel vans would spawn as AI traffic

Both of these are already in the game. “Regional traffic” can be found as “smart selection of vehicles” under traffic settings, and you can manually spawn in traffic vehicles by spawning several vehicles and pressing “start traffic,” though this may not be what you meant. Semi-trucks and panel vans do spawn in as AI traffic, you may have been unlucky in what traffic vehicles were chosen (enable pooling for better odds). You may have also been searching for a modded vehicle, which does not spawn in traffic by default, but can be enabled in traffic settings.

All of this is already in the game. As mentioned in the comment made by inkt_, I just wanted to add this: You can even spawn a t series, hook a trailer to it and then press start traffic and it will keep spawning it with the trailer attached

Someone pointed out that the progress on the police station renovation could mean it plays a role in the career mode.

I've been playing Beam for a few years now and I am amazed at how far the game has come, great work devs.

I think beamng is going to be the next SLRR with the carreer mode and I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT!!! 8:15 many people don't talk about this for some reason, but we definitely need good mirrors in game first. Mirrors in beamng suck.

Hey, you forgot that now in a few vehicles like: civetta scientilla, hirochi aurata you can click more buttons. In civette you can now click the button for: hazard lights, axelift mode change, a button that i think does nothing and two-step mode change And in the aurata you can click ALL THE BUTTONS that are on th center collumn, 7 switches in total (with the ignition switch)

I hope the devs remaster the ETK I series and the Ibishu 200 BX, now they have a better JBeam

I think the theory that they will add more stuff in patch notes is true because they just added buttons you can interact with in the hirochi aurata! Can't wait to see what happens

I got a 800 HP wide body Ibishu 200BX in career mode already, racing tires, suspension all everything, Then I blew up the engine 😂 after tuning it to 40PSI (Even with max upgraded radiator and stage 3 engine block and oil coolers)

I think the new VR features is the biggest milestone beamng has in a long time. Because I am waiting so long for VR support and finally it can be played even though it is unstable

Idk, career mode is pretty big for a work in progress. Also in improvements i think force feedback and sounds count. And new big additions is the map, the vr, and the car

What we really need is a way to easily set up races. Select the route, select the number of opponents, select specific cars or randomised according to the class of your car, and select the number of laps if applicable. Would that be too hard to implement in the next few updates?

I'd love to see dynamic weather in game. It's been so long without it.

Also one small thing i noticed with the car AI when i set the risk to 0.7 one AI car will start a police chase out of nowhere which is realistic! just like humans and i tried this in West Coast USA

Fun fact about the career mode: it was enough in development to the point where you can actually use vehicle mods such as the toy block car (lego cars of course and they also actually set in 11.96 BB *beambucks*) or you could use a more "expensive" car ehich is the Genesis which is the luxury ones (not lego)

In career mode that's already on by default, and you can save your current vehicle state in the freeroam mode too! Just go to the radial menu by pressing ESC, and then head to "save". You can load the damage again by pressing "load" while the vehicle is selected.

I test drived a car in career mode, then crashed it and ran away from the dealership

It would be nice if you could repeatedly do a mission and still get beam bucks instead of a one time pay if you completed all the goals. I played around with career mode and you only really earn enough to upgrade a car depending on how much it was stock. And the ability to sell parts and change the color of the vehicle hasn't been implemented from what i have seen.

Vulkan's been running stable for me for about 18 hours straight. It only gives about 5-10fps improvement though.

The first major bug i found in career mode is the inability to run a save with the totorial more than once. The totorial straight doesnt work.

don't forget that in West Coast USA Expansion the AI ​​is weak, for example: traffic lights do not work for AI and there are a few unfinished AI traffic routes

I`m using a Fanatec CSL DD with 8 nm.

İ didnt have fun exploring the tunnels since i was usin the aurata with that stupid cvt

AI definitely got better. Let it control a souped up miata i built while i chased it an a hellkitty i built(v6 challenger pushing 700hp), and it was doing damn well staying ahead of me

Well it doesn't seem entirely likely I understand the mechanic of you having to wait for some stuff to add for realism but I hope the game doesn't become like other games which make it so if you get an upgrade or something like that you have to wait 4,000 years

I strongly suggest at least trying Vulkan API, because for me it is MUCH faster, as an example Vulkan allows me to escape from the cops in Italy at night (because there are many light sources at night, which kills the performance, but not with Vulkan). For reference I have 4070 Ti GPU, 5800X AMD CPU and 32 GB RAM.

What I’d like to see : Online world: purchase properties, customise them as per furniture available, made by others in their shops. Each house/apartment is updated on the current server players are on. Here you can display your favourite photos on the wall (TDU style) and show of your garage to players you allow inside the property. Individuals who can program can have their real estate office where all the transactions and bespoke deals take place. Buy cars, used or new in variety of dealerships (street legal racing redline style). Customise: beamng devs already have many customisation options for the car, but the community can take it to a whole new level. A person, who can work with beams, can create a unique splitter, spoiler, hood or whatever else , and sell it only at their shop. This would create a free market economy of some sort. PEOPLE: avatar you create at the start, and people walking around the map. General missing game mechanics: scratches on cars, better sparks and far better terrain response to the car and on the car. I’m sure that’s already in the roadmap. I have so many more but I think those are the main ones.
