Main reasoning behind the Bob's Burgers cartoon is that a lot of burger places go undiscovered in the US for long periods of time, especially with huge competitors like McDonald's and Burger King overshadowing them. The cruel irony is that Bob's burger recipes are very much founded in reality and can all be made in real life. If not for having to deal with immediate competition across the street (i.e. Jimmy Pesto's Pizzeria), he'd probably be a lot more successful. Furthermore, the gourmet burger joints tend to be fly-by-night operations. Either they catch on or they don't.

There was a burger place my family would eat at on the way home from doctor appointments called Hob Nob; among the usual burgers found just about anywhere, they also served an ostrich burger (never tried it, never wanted to). I don't even know if it's still open.

I know Strider wasn't a fan of it, but Regular Show had so many foods I wanted to eat in real life. The best burger in the world in particular. 0:47 I'd also like to point out this actually makes sense when you consider chum is mashed fish parts used for bait, and the only meat available in the ocean is fish flesh. Explains the horrible taste. The town would be more likely to eat plant based food like actual fish.

To my knowledge. From the anime and games. Poffins have ranged in texture. They seem to range from soft pastries to crispy biscuits. The flavors are brought in from natural berries so the flavors would most likely be sweet/tart. The consistency of the batter’s in how they turn out seems to relate to who prepares it. Though the sizes seem to make this all more difficult as in the games they look like they are big pastries, but in the anime, they are the size of cookies. Either way, get the oven and a bucket, and shank open the flour bags

yeah honestly that would make sense given that different pokemon actually have different flavor preferences (in gen 3 and 4 when contests were a thing, if you gave your pokemon a flavor it liked, its contest stats increase a bit more). Though I still definitely like the look of the recipe that was shown here! Surprised that the more cake-macaron hybrid Pokepuffs didn't come up as well. Those ALSO look absolutely scrumptious!

I've had a Reptar Bar before, when they sold the small ones at FYE [stands for "For Your Entertainment"] in the mall; I remember it tasting pretty good. It had green frosting inside of it; can't remmember whether or not my tongue was green or not, but I remember buying a few more until they stopped selling them. I also had a Flaming Moe, but not the one you talked about in the video. What I had was actually a soft drink from Jungle Jim's called the Flaming Moe, and I can't really remember how it tasted, since it was a long time ago. I also have had my fair share of Scooby Snacks Graham Crackers over the years; if you've never had them, seek them out, they're really tasty.

Josh, you should totally do a part 2 of this! There's still so much more material in different shows out there! That said, if you do, _please_ include the super addictive candy Jimmy made from Jimmy Neutron; someone actually legit _made_ that...! Dunno if anyone's attempted to make the drink from the show, Purple Flurp, though I betcha it's really just a super sweet grape soda, since it's stated in the movie that it's 98% sugar, which _has_ to be sickeningly sweet; don't see how it's even in a liquid state with so much sugar in it... Dunno how the characters can stomach something like that, though one of them, Sheen, is addicted to sugar to almost an unhealthy level, so I can see why he'd love it... LOL

I mean, a vegetarian burger being popular in a city populated mostly of sea creatures does kinda make sense. most common fish are either herbivores or omnivores, and it’s pretty ambiguous what species of fish a lot of the bikini bottom residents are aside from a few, so it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch that a majority of them are herbivore species with a few omnivores in the mix. Hell maybe Nat (Incidental 41) was an technically an omnivore and that was why Karen picked him out of everyone in Bikini Bottom in the episode “Plankton’s regular”. (Though maybe it was a better idea to put her money on a carnivorous shark instead…)

However upon seeing Howl’s Moving Castle and see Sophie’s breakfast I just had to give them another try. As with any Studio Ghibli film the real star is the freaking food. It made bacon and eggs look amazing! I now enjoy eggs even though turns out they don’t like me, payback I guess. 😅

Hi Strider! This was a great video, and most of these foods look interesting to try. I'd especially like to try Krabby Patties, Triple Gooberberry Sunrises, and Poffins! On a different note, I'd like to see you review mascots, whether it be fast food, drink, toy, theme park, or any kind of mascot. But food mascots and toy mascots are the most interesting IMO. If you ever do a video on obscure mascots, I have a few mascots that would fit perfectly on the list. 1: The Jack In The Box Bunch [Jack In The Box Restaurant]. A trippy group of characters from the 1970s. Jack himself had a more cartoony appearance. There's only three commercials [Baseball, In The Park, Jack In The Box Animated Commercial 1970s], and three comics [How Pain Helps Us, How A House Makes Noise, Where Oil Comes From] on KZread, but I highly recommend checking them out. The comics are surprisingly good for fast food standards. Paul Winchell, better known as the voice of Tigger, did the voices of the characters. 2: The Burger Chef characters. There was Burger Chef himself and his sidekick Jeff, but there were also a host of monster movie-inspired characters. Fangburger, Crankenburger, Wolfburger, etc... Fun Fact: Burger Chef invented the Fun Meal years before Mcdonald's made the Happy Meal, and tried to sue Mickey D's but lost. 3: Hasbro [Hasbro toys]. His design is simple, with dot eyes and all, but really cute. He was used in the 50s and 60s, but was dropped in 1968. Mae Questel, voice of Betty Boop and Olive Oyl from Popeye did the voice of Hasbro. I believe the smile in the current Hasbro logo may be a reference to him? 4: Matty Mattel and Sister Belle [Mattel Toys]. Matty and Belle have a pretty interesting past. They hosted a show called "Matty's Funday Funnies", which first starred Harvey Comics characters, then Beany and Cecil. There's a few episodes of the Beany and Cecil version on KZread, as well as bumpers from the Harvey version. They were dropped sometime in the early 70s, but Matty returned twice, first in the 80s, then in the 2000s. Unfortunately, the 2000s version, made for Matty Collector, was a complete disaster. There's a video about the history of the Matty Collector site that goes into more details of the failure of the 2000s version. Matty went back to his 80s design in 2011, and Belle would also return. 5: The Frito Kid. He's a cowboy, but he has interesting Disney ties. In the mid 50s, Disney opened Casa De Fritos, and Frito Kid was an animatronic there. Interestingly, Doritos were invented at Casa De Fritos, it's a really interesting story. Frito Kid was used in several ads until 1967, but sadly, only one Frito Kid commercial still exists. 6: Gilbert Giddyup and Speedy Mcgreedy [Hardee's]. Gilbert was a western sheriff who protected the Hardee's burgers from Speedy Mcgreedy, a burger rustler. They were used quite often in the 1970s, but vanished. The entire story of Hardee's is a wild ride in of itself, from being STOLEN from it's founder, to the many buyouts of other restaurants, and then Carl's Jr buying out Hardee's. Mascots are very interesting, and many share voice actors with popular cartoon characters!

0:45 I actually like that the Krabby Patty is the equivalent to an "Impossible" burger here in the States; it's debatable, like you said, but honestly, I like that every Bikini Bottom citizen is a vegetarian (similar to fish IRL). Kinda makes me want to eat them to stay healthy and hopefully lose weight in the process! It could really help kids find ad-vegetarian or ad-vegan options at their favorite restaurants! 5:13 May Neptune have mercy on his soul... Actually, where I think the best pizza is doesn't matter! As long as you're creative with what you put on it (provided that you don't disgust your customers in the process), and your own spin on it is something you enjoy, all the power to you! 6:24 Huh, I've been meaning to get into the show myself, so I'll definitely look for the cookbook on Amazon for Christmas! I must say the "Chive My Car" burger looks too similar to SpongeBob's Patty Wagon, lol! 11:28 There's an account I follow on Instagram called "TheSinCityBartender" and he tried making the Flaming Homer too! He gave it 1 star on the alcoholic version and 8 stars on the non-alcoholic version, lol. You should follow them; they make all sorts of drinks based on fictional characters and stuff! 13:42 Well, at least in Pokémon Go, it boosts your friendship with your Buddy Pokémon. That's...something. But yeah, I do wanna try these, as well as the Pokepuffs from X and Y! The puffs sound way cooler, but they're probably really difficult to make. 16:15 KITTY JUMPSCARE! Meow! Meow! Meow! Meow! That is to say, "Hey Shadow! Nice to finally meet you! Hope to see you in future videos!" 17:36 OHHHH, I remember eating Scooby Snacks when I was a kid; they were dog-bone shaped and came in cinnamon and honey flavors! Yeah, it wasn't the actual Scooby Snacks, but they were close enough to what I saw in "What's New Scooby Doo?" 24:50 I would LOVE a banana split rn. I've been allergic to the walnuts on top of them, but I'm all clear from the allergies now, thanks to allergy tests!

Honestly I like to think that this is actually Mr Hillenburg sneaking marine biology into the show as per usual. They're pretty ambiguous about what species the bikini bottom residents we see in the background are (with a few exceptions), so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to guess that the majority of bikini bottomites are either herbivores or omnivores. As nice of a side distraction contests were in pokemon, I do kinda like how recent games made treats relate to affection. Contest stats used to be how feebas evolved into milotic, too; specifically maxing out its beauty stat then leveling it up once (Feebas already being a pokemon that was NOTORIOUSLY tedious to catch in the GBA and early DS era). And I kinda would rather not live in the alternative universe where i have to do something similar to evolve my eevee to a sylveon.

Let's be real, that Goofy Goober scene and sundae were clearly a kid-friendly stand-in for getting drunk at a bar. Considering how SpongeBob and Patrick were acting that evening as they kept chugging more of them, nevermind the hangover later on, I wouldn't be surprised if there actually _was_ something else in that ice cream.

Actually the whole beauty pageant gimmick of diamond and pearl actually allowed you to get the IV's and Ev's for breeding as well as it could boost certain moves and stats during game play. If you used bubble beam a cute move your accuracy would increase by like a quater percent everytime it was used in that fight. Also it could gain you extra xp,money, items, and even encounters that normally had lower chances of spawning. Yes this was also improved by the berries you used, and how perfectly made the puffin based on the mixing, ripeness, and amount of each berry type

I like how you briefly put in Japanese animation foods such as the legend of Miyazaki films. Miyazaki had his own mention on the behind the scenes of when it comes to animating foods in his films. Before and After his many works, many Japanese animated shows or future films would do their darn best to make every food look appealing and appetizing to wanna make yourself. If you want, Strider, I highly recommend watching Food Wars, where not only is it all about creating said foods but they go into detail explaining how each one is made.

13:12 I want to mention: you can also get puffins in pokemong GO, they're really expensive in my opinion (like almost everything in this game), and you can only get the plain rown ones. What they do there is kinda different from the main game series: you feed one to your buddy Pokémon, it's getting excited, and brings you double hears for buddy activities (I didn't understood the purpose of that but a buddy pokemon is pretty fun), and you have half walk distance for candy (if your buddy normally needs to walk 3 km to give you a candy, a buddy that ate puffin will need only 1.5 km), 2hich meaning PoGo poffine do help your pokemon evolve...?
