I saw Doug and Stu along with Elliot Easton of the Cars who did the Fogarty guitar parts on a touring version of Creedence called Creedence Clearwater Revisited. I thought they were brilliant and the singer they brought in to sing the John Fogarty parts nailed it! Creedence Clearwater Revival was at it's core John Fogarty and if you take him out of it the hits would not have happened. Their last lp without Tom Fogarty (John's brother) had songs by Stu and Doug but the record tanked. John Fogarty did a solo lp right after Creedence called "The Blue Ridge Rangers" which is one of his best solo efforts. I'd say Creedence's story happened in the sequence it had to and like a good buffet we can pick from it what we want to enjoy. I'd not change a thing with their history. Fast point--John Fogarty challenged Stu and Doug going on the road as "Creedence Clearwater Revisited" with Tom Fogarty's wife voting with Stu and Doug for them to call themselves "Revisited."

Please don't judge something you don't understand. Zappa was not constrained by popularity or record sales or swooned over by teenagers. He was a very smart guy and a really talented guitarist. He produced the final Grand Funk album from their hey day in the 70's "Good Singin Good Playin" which was very mainstream production and a good pop rock record. If you want to understand Frank Zappa you need to grasp the idea that the things you and most of us lust after which is popularity and money is not something that was at of importance to Frank Zappa. He made fun of it because if you really think about it a lot of the things we desire is b.s.

@@tod3msn lol. You’ve misunderstood me. I am actually a true Zappaholic. I consider Frank to be a completely separate form of entertainment. He was that unique. I have 98.9% of every little noise he ever put to tape and otherwise. I salivate any time Joe and Ahmet whip up a box set for the masses. I am so grateful that his music is still being released. The vault seems endless. I only got to see Frank once during the Them or Us tour in Montreal back in 84. I’ve seen every ZPZ tour from the first with Napoleon, Vai and Bozzio up until pre 20 anyway. Dweezil’s touring isn’t as extensive these days. Bummer. So no worries you are talking to a complete Zappa junkie. This world could use more Franks to make a muffin betta!🧁👍

Meanwhile, I seriously dislike everything from The Rolling Stones, even though or because they are my by far most listened to band ever. I got to know them in 1997, then visited a concert (one of my worst concerts ever), bought all the albums and many bootlegs. I'm tired of their music and their singing for the rest of my life. I also dislike The Beatles, formerly liked them, but the excitement wore off quickly.

@danootto6382 Hahaha, it's cool to see that Larry can be so convincing in his satire persona as Phil 😊. I encourage you to, if you want to, check out this channel's other videos, although Larry posts a lot of humoristic ones, most of them are serious (though usually there's some humour in them :)) and you'll find that he has excellent taste in music. I at least like this channel LOTS.
