"How do I race a car"? California Dreaming!! IMO, based on all the MAJOR factors impacting your participation, I'd say adrenalin played a major part in "How do I race a car" at that point. I wish I'd had the opportunity to experience that kind of adrenaline rush at Laguna in the RUSH. For SURE next year I plan to be there. My last driving visit there was in 2007 in an SBRS Club Car during a two-day racing school. I loved the track. I always described it as a "big go-kart track" after my experience. The fact that you kept the car running and continued showed that, although you may have allowed the "moment" to overcome you, your instincts kicked-in and you continued on. I have no doubt you enjoyed the experience immensely. I plan to join you next year.

Thanks Bill haha, i was SO relieved I got it pointed the right way and running again. I wish more kart tracks had corkscrews, but i get your meaning, especially in the Rush which is a literal giant go-kart. I had zero practice laps, quali, or anything up until this point so it was definitely embarrassing spinning it the way I did. Had I just chilled and let the car warm up a bit more I feel I could have run mid-pack.
