It’s not kinda a flop it’s a flop and it’s sad. I bought her first launch items for my daughter for Christmas last year and it’s a more pricey then drug store with worse then maybe drugstore quality at best. It has led me to not go back .

As a fan of the band R.E.M. I knew this brand would never replace them for me as THE r.e.m. but it is wild to see that AG's makeup is not good/ gimmicky given the success of her fragrance house. About Face and af94 are surprisingly dope celebrity brands

Ahhh you and Angelica Nyquist are the only 2 people I've heard mention the band R.E.M!! They are a band I have always wanted to get more into bc I love U2 and a lot of U2 fans really love R.E.M. and they just seem like good dudes. Which are your fave songs or albums from them!?

I'm never into the opaque highlighters. I want the sheer base so it only looks like a shine ✨️ I've noticed that if a highlighter has a base then it will literally look like powder on the cheeks when the light isn't hitting it. Not trying to look crusty in some lighting. Much rather rely on my Bobbi Brown, Pat McGrath, Milani (has a gorgeous split pan highlight*), or Sephora brand (has a face trio with literally the best highlighter in it!)... I also just picked up 1 of the new Rare Beauty highlighters. Those look so pretty! 😍

I just wanted to say that I’ve been following you for a while and I just love your content and channel. I feel like I don’t watch many beauty channels anymore but I’m always excited to see your new videos. for me, i’m just so burnt out by new makeup releases that the only new (as in never tried, not repurchases) products i buy are lip ones, usually a lip gloss. my last lip purchases were mac glossy lipsticks and some dior lip maximizers, and i’m pretty happy with those; even when i do buy new lip products, i kind of still use the same ones i always do. i haven’t bought an eyeshadow palette in years and probably won’t unless it’s a repurchase. so when this brand came out, i was completely and totally uninterested and still am xD

As a big big Ariana fan I haven’t bought any of her makeup. I just haven’t been interested in anything. I kind of was interested in the concealer and maybe the lip liners but I really like colourpops lip liners and I have other concealers. She does have a limited set of a few lip products for $38 that I sort of would like but I am kinda of disappointed in it. Comparing to other celebrity brands it’s just not as exciting. And as much as I love her the videos of her promoting it on the rem KZread and Instagram just seem so fake and scripted 🤣 which maybe it’s not and I’m sure she is proud of these products I just think she isn’t used to promoting makeup. But I do appreciate how inclusive her brand is from the shade range, to the models and the people they repost on Instagram so that’s a plus

I was so excited for the launch last year and I ended up buying a couple items. I bought 3 liquid shadows, lip tint, and lip gloss. I only liked 2 of the liquid shadows and one of them was the fembot shade you tried!! I love fembot, but it can only be used as a topper shade. If you try put any shadow on top of it, it’ll just stick. It can also get patchy if you try to mix other liquid glitter shadows with it! It was awful when I tried to blend it with other shadows! I was so upset and it’s really turned me off from getting anything else. The lip stain was the worst. It arrived dry and I couldn’t even use it. It’s just very sad to see because it had so much potential ):

This eye look reminds me of my fav look that I does with my colourpop off melrose palette. The shade Fairfax is beautiful and gives me the same vibes as the liquid shadow you used here 😊

Lauren, I love the liquid shadows! Try applying with your fingers, that’s how I put it on and it goes on lovely. It sets the whole day and doesn’t budge, I love using it as a base. I use the colors telescope, science fair, and Milky Way

I was looking for a neutral lip product for me at Ulta one day and stumbled across the shade "Lingerie" in the lip stick that comes in the long skinny tube. I quite like it! Nicely pigmented and a comfortable formula. I think it was $19 so I'd purchase again.

I actually really like this brand! My faves are the classic lipstick and lipgloss, you should definitely try those!

Honestly not every celebrity should be releasing huge beauty brands like this. Because they need to be WELL DONE and if they’re anything less than great then it taints the legacy of the artist by making you question their authenticity in their business endeavors. Theyd be better off not jumping on bandwagons and creating brands (if they must) centered on something they’re ACTUALLY passionate about. Because if their heart is in designing fu*king gardening products or something because that’s what they actually do as a hobby than that authenticity will be noticeable and enticing to the consumer. They think we’re dumb and yes stans will initially buy the products but if its not worth it then thats voided.

i got fembot because of your comparison to that specific shade in the rose quartz palette, but yeah its a bit tricky to apply

People were hating on the release promo, but it seems like relatively affordable makeup without talc, which is uncommon. I was at least going to swatch whenever I need to re-up on makeup.

Aesthetically I don’t have a problem with the packaging, but storage-wise, I can’t stand it. The lipsticks are too big to fit in normal lipstick holders and don’t stand up straight either; the eyeshadow palettes (which I really do like) don’t stack or even go together when stored upright . . . I have the highlighter, but never reach for it or the lipsticks or, truly, the eyeshadow palettes. I also have the liquid toppers, but haven’t used them yet and now am a bit scared to; but I will because it looks GORGEOUS on you!

I still love the concealer and I want to try more from this brand so I’m excited to see your thoughts!

@@blendofdays I’d say it’s best if you don’t have super dry undereyes. It’s similar to the Kosas concealer imo

I have only tried her lipstick bullet from Chapter 1. I really enjoy the formula! I want to try more things, but there is just like an “ahhhh” holding me back. Hard to explain. I have other things pulling at my attention.

I picked up that eyeshadow in Fembot from Ulta's Cyber Monday sale and I'm not sure if mines possibly defective/old but barely anything comes out on the wand. I've never tried anything from the brand or other colors in the same product, so I had no idea what to expect. But it's very disappointing that it doesn't seem like something I could use all over the eye without dipping back in a ton of times.

I think with every brand has standouts and flops and makeup is so personal for everyone. I got the highlighter in Venus and it’s so yellow and chalky I was very disappointed I keep using hoping if I use different techniques and nope pretty much the same discount maybe different shade will have different results but I’m afraid to mess with it anymore to just end up disappointed. But for me I love liquid shadow in fembot! And I’ve used up her plumbing lip gloss in scrunchie and have a backup I purchased plus another one that was gifted to me on my birthday by my brother and his gf. Her lipstick feels so soft when you apply and there are pretty natural colors but just like with her clean lipgloss I easily forget about it 😅 I just bought her thank u next set so I’ll get to try out her liner,eyeshadow and lashes the only thing I have left that I want to try after that is the blush ❤

Yeah I have fembot and it works best for me with nothing underneath not even primer.

I recently got into her blushes I have three now.

The only think I care about from her brand is the highlighter. I personally live for them. Such a smooth and glowy formula for me.

I wonder if the liquid shadows were affected by the pencil you used as a base? 🤔ᴴᴹᴹ I've had my eye on that shade fembot for a while as well as the sweetener concealer because I love pot concealer. Reviews have been all over the place! Thank you so much for the daily content Lauren 🤗🙌💜⛄

I know it was such a frustrating experience, but you really turned it out. The only purchase I’ve made from r.e.m. was the concealer because the idea of having a shade of concealer that was my perfect match so I could spot conceal was so dreamy to me… but I haven’t used it once. Every time I try it, it looks horrible on me. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong-and I’m using my fingers or a sponge. I haven’t been keeping up with every video, so I don’t know if you’re doing something different-but I have to say I noticed your brows look really great! Looking forward to catching up and congrats on launching the new channel 🤗!!

The only thing I liked from her line that I've tried is that liquid eyeshadow in UFO. It is a great formula & color... I found the matte lipstick to be a really bad formula - it began flaking off within an hour... the highlighter formula was powdery and nothing special IMO... I also have the liquid liner but haven't tried it yet. I would expect that to be good since it's the type of product she is well known for using all the time. But I returned the lipstick & highlighter. They were that bad. Not the mention the highlighter came broken anyway.

Unfortunately the last thing you want to do after getting lip filler is to roll a ball on it! It probably would move your filler to where you don’t want it. You are supposed to just gently ice them with a cold pack.

i like the matte liquid shadow as a base it doesn’t crease and i also like the blush. the highlighter is eh i like pat and natasha better

REM is the brand of the year for me and I feel very much alone in that feeling😅

I love Gucci mascara. I like to order from Gucci's site. They include special bags and packaging.

I feel like other than the outer packaging, the products themselves aren’t unique as concept, color stories, formulas… Yes it’s presented in a different packaging, through a chapter release instead of a regular one but outside of the presentation, the products themselves don’t stand out on their own if Ariana’s name isn’t attached to it. Also in my opinion… the packaging does look like sample. Unfinished or incomplete.

I have fembot and the formula got drier after several uses. I couldn't get the product out anymore, it was like the doe foot wouldn't hold it. I removed the stopper and it's a hot mess but if I apply a lot on the back of my hand, it applies perfectly with a finger tip. Today I used it over to about face white eye paint and cowboy Rick from the wild west naked palette and it was like pretty nice.

Worth noting that I've only tried this shade and the matte shade totes (hasn't dried up even slightly and I've used it more than fembot) and no other products from the brand.

I bought that fembot liquid eyeshadow. I wanted it to be good soooo bad. It was pretty searched on my hand, but in my eyelids it was absolute shit. I tried so many different ways to make it work too. That’s the only product I can speak for, and honestly I’m not really enticed by any of the other products. Not saying it’s a bad line though, it’s just overall not my aesthetic. Except for that Sam eyeshadow I wanted to work 😆🤷🏻‍♀️

About face is legit underrated

I wish more celebrities would go back to fragrances instead of starting their own makeup lines. They have a way easier time making perfume that smells good than trying to make cosmetics that apply well, wear comfortably, and look nice on everyone. They can save the makeup for people who actually know how it's done.

Love the brand. Love prices, products, packaging. I’m a gay man into beauty. I’m pretty masculine. Love the themes and how unisex the packaging is. Btw the shadow stick is more used for more one and done type of looks

You really gave those eyeshadow products a fair shot, but they don’t look good in my opinion. Your application was wonderful, but I’m sad that the products work so badly 😢

Nothing I’ve tried has been great the lip oil was by far worst product I’ve tried this whole yr.

so i’m an ariana grande stan. of course i bought some products from rem when it initially launched… i was extremely dissatisfied with two out of the three products i purchased. yes, they’re not that expensive… the lipstick IS worth it, in my opinion. the lip tints are only worth it if you get them on sale. these lip pens are totally overpriced in my opinion. the plumping lip gloss was trash… utter crap. it didn’t give me much of a tingly lip and the tube is so tiny… another overpriced product in my opinion. these are the only products i’ve tried. i will likely buy certain products from rem in the future, but i’ll stick to her perfume and other merchandise for the most part.

Oh no I have ufo coming today I like fembot on it’s own with no primer or anything under. It doesn’t crease and lasts all day for me.
