It’s deeply upsetting me honestly too faced is giving me overpriced “cheap” makeup vibes lately.

I am in my mid-40s. When I was a child, I had makeup for dress-up. One of the my faves was a green lipstick that was "mood changing" and it was same pink shade that all of this stuff is. In other words, are we realllly relying on makeup "technology" from the mid-80s?!

Butter is the name of a song by bts, the 3 lip masks are named after their 3 songs. La neige is a korean brand under Amore pacific. So this collab makes the more sense to me and it's so minimalistic not having a millions things in the same collection and a bit refreshing to have an asian representation in the makeup/skincare world (korean artists) done with another asian brand (korean brand) 🥰. I was allllll over that collab set. Not familiar with BTS as a band, but that butter flavour got me! It's my favourite Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask flavour - definitely buttery but not in an icky way. Rich sweet n' salty goodness, gives a caramel popcorn kind of vibe and it's WONDERFUL.

Im SO OVER the collabs too!! There's no movie/show/band/cartoon/anime/book/childhood toy that i care enough about to buy a collection just because of the theme. I understand the nostalgia (go for it if you want) but i want makeup for a grown woman because that's what i am lol...

I don’t think this PM Collection is going to sell out at all. The way more “mainstream wearable” holiday quints only recently sold out and that was because of her 35% off holiday sale and I’m pretty sure those colour stories would be more attractive to a wider number of people. The rest of the products she’s offering are old and just repackaged and there have been soooo many Star Wars releases at this point.

They must sell bc she keeps making them, but I can’t imagine how. Extremely luxury beauty is such a specific interest, and so is being into Star Wars enough to buy merch of it. How much overlap can there possibly be?

Especially as NYX eyeshadow has always been so hit and miss, for me. I feel like I could buy a palette from a number of different brands for a similar price. If I am going to spend that much on a single makeup item I'd rather pick one with a formula I've had more success with

15:06 What’s so funny is that photo of Selena was the only reason I gave these a second look. Because I’m in love with highlighters that look like they’re seamlessly blended into skin and she didn’t have that insane textural look where you can’t even see her blush and bronzer anymore. I LOVE the Katya & Trixie podcast. I also struggle because I want to support Trixie but her makeup doesn’t call to me. The only thing I’ve considered getting is her Summer of Love Blush Palette but I worry it won’t work for my undertones.

I have nine thousand highlighters in my extensive makeup collection…..and yet…I still need more..

I love that pmg put out more quints, but idgaf about star Wars. I'm also very intrigued by the pots, but then I look at the price. They're nearly as much as the quints. 😒 I'll stick to the Moira ones! I hope to see them launch non star Wars ones in future tho. The LH light lavender blush!? 👀💜 As for the Marc Jacobs frags? Iris can be such a subtle scent, I find it hard to believe that one will smell much different? I love how the byredo quint looks aesthetically! Idk if you saw the Girlcult cyber punk collection, but if not, you should! 👀

Did you notice the midnight Sun packaging? Pat finally gave us a picture ON the palette but at the wrong time 🙄 and midnight Sun was on sale for $77 for months and then she’s charging full price for the Star Wars one

Someone on Reddit pointed out that the PMG/Star Wars big palette package design makes it look like Darth Vader has big black *b o o b i e s* and now I cannot unsee it

I saw the rare highlighters in person at Sephora and it’s the smoothest silkiest feeling powder! The formula does have small glitter in it if that’s your thing! Overall they’re stunning!

I would love to see more content on the Ace Beaute palettes. They always kill it with the color stories but I am always wondering how good is that shimmer formula REALLY? 🤔 🧐🧐🧐 So seeing some more up-close swatches would be helpful.

Amore Pacific is Laneige’s parent company, and it’s the lip mask is maybe the most mainstream k-beauty product and BTS being the same for kpop, so that one makes sense. Avatar…no. Lol.

I'm ashamed to say I just bought that darned Colourpop Aurora palette and one of the highlighter sticks yesterday. I love auroras so much and I feel like I have been waiting my whole life for a truly good aurora themed palette... Colourpop finally got it fairly close to the one in my dreams. Lastly, why does it seem like all Star Wars makeup collections look the same? They all consist of red, black, silver, and gold. Sometimes they will add a purple or a bright blue. I love Star Wars, but none of the collections get me excited(except for the Colourpop palette with baby Yoda because he's cute).

Too Faced did this last tear with the release of the Butterfly Palettes, Alamo limited edition. Now selling at every outlet store. This new palette looks similar to the Butterfly in as well.

The first Star Wars collab with Pat I didn't know it was the 4th palette until after I bought it and was really bummed out. As i have all 10 I don't see the point in buying another of one I have. I want it, but I can't justify it. I will however pick up the 3 quints and a lip gloss (I'll come back and use your links, ❤️). I've purchased so much this last year, I have to slow down lol! I already ordered Strawberry Shortcake from Glamlite, the 2 from Lethal, and the 2 from Ace LOL. They are all amazing! If the Rare Beauty highlighters are still around in a few months I will pick one up, I just have so much new stuff I need to work through. Everything else is a pass for me. Great video!

sorry to comment twice but i also have both the glossier candles and while they are expensive i would say theyre definitely worth it. their cold throw alone makes it worth it, they give off the scent without even being lit, and they smell incredible, you can also tell they are truly quality, and plus the glass is super cute when (if ever) the candle is finished

I wish I was more into scent too. Don’t get me wrong, I love scented bath stuff, but I work from home, I am prone to migraines and strong scents can make me feel super sick when they hit, plus a lot of offices (doctor, dentist,etc) are scent free and ask you not to wear scents. I have one favourite scent for special occasions and that is enough

Same here. I have a very sensitive nose and heavy scents like vanilla, cinnamon, pumpkin and most "holiday" smells give me headaches and drive me nuts. i just cannot deal with most perfumes.

Every time I hear “metamorphosis” I think of A Bug’s Life. 😂

Lauren I know you can’t relate to this but sometimes you just need one thing! sometimes you’re out of mascara and you’re going to Walgreens on your lunch break to pick up your meds and you grab essence’s bye bye panda eyes while you’re there, and then you get in the car and just open up the tube and apply it in your rearview mirror

So I wasn’t the only one confused as to why they picked that picture for the new Rare Beauty highlighters 😭😭 that looks matte as hell, it’s not selling me anything Also, I can’t stand the Ph thingies… they all look the same on everyone. It’s not a magic product that adjusts to your perfect pink. It’s a product that reacts to a certain PH range and it’s the same for most people.

I'm a huge fan of BTS and have recently gotten into the lip masks from Laneige. Needless to say, I was really excited for this collab (although I did have to research Amorepacific). The "Butter" lip mask basically smells like buttered popcorn. The peach iced tea (Permission to Dance) is my favorite from the set.

I LOVE this video- I am back to the beauty world (last wore makeup before this internet explosion of youtube/social media etc) so this video is helping me dive in. Oh how I love everything beauty, and PS love your glowing, dewy look. Exactly what I want to achieve. I also saw the Aurora palette from color pop and want to buy on discount. I am not really versed with beauty sales, or color pop (just bought a couple things for my daughter and myself on black friday) what would be a good discount to watch for on that palette of when to buy? I wish I got a few more things from there, but I was kind of overwhelmed not knowing anything, literally, and they had so much! Anyway, subbing, thank you! :)

Amorepacific is the parent company of laneige and innisfree and etude and others. it isn't really a collab at all it's just maybe more familiar branding for abroad consumers. but yes it is a BTS collab which does make sense as it is a Korean company. I also feel like the demographic target of laneige is older than the average BTS fan and might be their attempt to refresh and make their brand more youthful
