Thank you for the "disclaimer" at the beginning about evaluating drugstore products the same way you would high end products. If it's good, it's good, that's it. It has to do the job I want it to do, regardless of the price.

yeah, I get that some people may evaluate drugstore products differently if they’re not as into makeup or simply need to budget, but for me.. I have so much makeup that if it’s not as good as my high end stuff, I won’t use it, and if I’m not using it then it’s a waste of money no matter the price

@@ladyj.9350 and when ur on a limited budget, it ends up being cheaper to buy a more expensive 20-30 dollar product that you actually like and use, than buying a million 5-10 dollar things that you don’t even use or like.

Lauren, one of the things that I love about your videos, is how you swatch products, you are not afraid to touch and swipe and blend... I really love that! It gives me more insight as to what makeup looks and feels like. Thank you! 💛

I started needing a lipliner in my late thirties. The older I get, (now 73), the more I need a lipliner that does lock down. Otherwise, it melts into my liplines. We all end up making minor adjustments regularly as we age. 😊

NYX needs to launch a foundation in the same serum formula as the concealer. I would buy it forever.

Yes! Waiting for them to replace the Born to Glow foundation since the Bare with me concealer is so similar to the Born to Glow concealer! 🤞🏽

Actually, the first product in the Bare With Me line was a skin tint (Skin Veil Tint I think it was called). It was the first skin tint that worked for me. I applied it with my fingers, and it looked so nice and even on my skin. However, for some weird reason, they discontinued it just as the Bare With Me line was starting to gain traction! Why would they do that? I hope that they do create some form of skin serum foundation to round out the Bare With Me line. Makeup brands make the oddest decisions sometimes! ~ Anastacia in Cleveland

@@AnastaciaInCleveland right? Idk why they discontinued that. I actually stopped supporting NYX for the sole reason that so many things get discontinued so quickly. I think they’re more worried about trends then creating great staple products. I’m sick of finding something I like by them only to have it discontinued so quickly. Same with physicians formula. I’m over them as well.

I loved this video. You arent kidding about prices going up. Drugstore is getting a little out of hand w their prices. I have an idea for you to decorate your "makeup tree" since your ornaments were taken (I actually do this myself in my makeup room). Use the (pretty), empty boxes from your makeup to decorate the tree. Larger boxes can go under the tree to look like gifts. Smaller boxes can hang right on the tree w a hook. Mine looks amazing ! Just an idea until you start replacing your things. I hope you see this & consider it.

High end and luxury are never in my budget. These types of videos are great. Ethical, affordable products that do the job well.

You do such a great job on your channel. I'm not in your typical demographic i figure really, I'm a 52 year old. . But I love that you are so genuine and no BS whatsoever. It is obvious that you know what you are talking about. I truly admire your vibe!

Did you try the Essence Kissed by the Light illuminating powder in Star Kissed? Omg it’s beautiful!! If CT packaged that it would fly off the shelf. I use it over blush and it’s lovely!!

Wanted to love Essence so bad, especially their mascara ( green bottle ) but it kept on flaking on me :(

First you are rockin this look. Everything about it is a whole vibe and I’m loving it 😍 secondly, thank you for putting drugstore brands to the same standards of high end. Just because someone might not be able to afford luxury does not mean they should settle for subpar quality makeup based on price.

Milani blushes and highlighters are like, my holy grail, sooooo good, not just the colors but the texture, it blends so effortlessly

I also have the Milani Berry adore, luminoso shades and a light pink called dolce vita. Love them all and have passed over some really great deals on more expensive brands because they are so so good.

I was on a concealer journey for years. Someone suggested the nyx serum concealer & I am forever grateful to them. It IS incredible. I love that you kept making the claim that these are good, not just good for the price! 😍🙌

Also LA girl shockwave eyeliner. That black one especially blows urban decay out of the water for me! LA Girl eyeshadows too. Those shimmers are next level. Flower beauty heat wave bronzer in sunrise. Fabulous. The wet n wild mega glo highlighters are better than all of my highend.

100% agree. The powder foundations used as setting powder over a light foundation is definitely chefs kiss.

The Elf putty primer brush is the perfect size and density for the putty bronzer.

You look STUNNING in this makeup and the color of your shirt really makes everything pop!

I stopped wearing concealer under my eyes because I couldn’t find one that looked good under my eyes drugstore or highend, until I found that nyx concealer! Also colourpop glitter super shocks are gorgeous toppers for eyeshadow and my favorite cream blush is the pink one from believe beauty at dollar general it’s just the perfect pink thats not too pink, a little dewy, so good. The loreal true match tinted serum? Perfection on the skin. I’ve been using the milani nude lipliner since I was in highschool and no matter what I try I always come back to it.

I recently decluttered a bunnnnch of drugstore makeup. Not because there’s anything wrong with it but because I have so many great high end/luxury products that they really need to knock it out of the park in order for me to reach for them instead of my Dior or CT. The one drugstore blush I’m loving right now, however, is from Revlon. Aside from those blushes, the majority of what I use is high end and luxury.

I agree with you about all of these products, especially the lipliners and concealer. Flower beauty heatwave bronzer in sunrise and Revlon skin lights bronzer in sun kissed beam , Almay healthy hue blush in nearly nude and covergirl cheekers blush in soft sable , to me are very amazing products from the drugstore.

Great video! I keep hearing more and more raves about Moira products. I've got to check out your video. The Revlon quads look so pretty too. I agree about Flower Beauty foiled 6 pans. They are AMAZING! I wish they would release more. I use mine so much! I will definitely purchase the shimmer eyeliners. I agree...the shimmer adds just a little "something" extra that looks so pretty. I really, really appreciate you sharing such awesome affordable recommendations! I'm stepping away from high end makeup and am going to be focusing on awesome affordable products from now on so this video is a treasure.

Daytime upload.... shaking it up! I like the late night ones, too. I recently bought one of the Pixi eyeliners, on your recommendation. I also love the NYX concealer - I actually mix my own base out of foundation, tinted moisturizers, etc., and sometimes I throw in a pump of that concealer into the mix.

I have the Revlon quads too & I absolutely love them for those days when I have minimal time to get ready & I just want something easy, pretty & minimal. I have the It’s a Dub & my two most used shades in it are are the two soft “mattes” at the end for a base & corner shade & then I have the other neutral quad & I’ll put a sparklier taupe over. I went & back & forth on the one with the teal in it & now I’m def going to grab it too. Def recommend!! Glad to know about the Pixi eye-liners - my drugstore used to carry urban decay but not anymore and Sephora doesn’t carry as many of the really good shades anymore and I’ve been looking everywhere where for some good eyeliners to use in the exact same way you described!

Lauren I love the putty bronzer but you should also try the revolution cream bronzer and the reformulated colour pop super shock bronzer stunning and definitely compare to high end

I love the Butter Glosses. A medium opacity gloss without any shimmer/glitter is definitely my preference. I would love it if this type of fomula became popular again or if NYX released more shades (or simply rereleased some of the discontinued ones).

Yes, ColourPop Super Shocks are definitely the move to make. I love how Moira has been growing as a brand, & can't wait to see what they come up with next. I love Kim Chi Chic's Wet with Plumper lip gloss in the clear shade. It doesn't have any sort of cooling/stinging tingles, & smells like fruit punch.

Those Milani cream blushes are so good. Definitely better than my high ends blushes. The shade range is an issue though, I have the "kiss of nude" and it's red 🤷.

I am on my 3rd bottle of the NYX concealer! I have become such a major makeup snob the last few years, but man.. there has been some AMAZING drug store products hitting the shelves the last year, I feel. Love it! For bronzer the Revaluation bronzer ($7!!??!!) Is so amazing! It blends out and the tone reminds me of my Fenty (in Buttah Biscuit) and even my Tarte (Seychelles) . I have SO MANY higher end cream bronzer, and I have reached for my 7 dollar one more! Insane!

I would love for you to make a best foundation product videos!

Two glosses I keep reaching for are from Catrice, the Clean ID hydra lip plumper and the Better Than Fake Lips volume gloss. Both sound like they're going to be tingling or burning, but they don't! They're just moisturizing/hydrating and make your lips look so good. Perfect thickness too, for me. They're €4 or 5 here and so goooood.

I never bought the Milani blush because I heard that it could really show more texture, but now I'm wondering if I should give it a try

Those Pixi highlighters are the best quality highlights I've ever used! I've been missing them since Fall when I dyed my hair red and stopped self tanning. I'm too fair for all the colors 😓

I love colorful eyeliner, that's my daily minimum of makeup. So i wanna check out those Pixi lines. Maybe check out the recent Milani matte lipsticks. Ive been really enjoying those, i bought five.

No 7 in my opinion has the best base products. They have really good foundations and powders. It's a little pricier but I swear their lift and laminate serum foundation, concealer, and powder line is my favorite... I pick it over my high end all the time.

I have been using the Anastasia brow cream pencil but found the Milani weekend brow brush and I’m not going back! It’s just as good if not better and I save loads of money! Cheers for a great video

I don't ever see anyone mention the Uoma beauty line at Walmart but I recently tried their cream blush in audacity and I love it. Not really into cream products but I love how luxurious their blush feels also I'm a sucker for anything made in Italy,idc about price point lol Italian made cosmetics is truly *chef's kiss* 🤌🏻

Uoma by Sharon C products are great! Their brow duo and their mascara are new favorites for me!! I’ll have to try this blush

The elf shadow sticks slay. My favorite is the blue steel. But I have some neutrals and they are foolproof. I have to say not to sleep on Neutrogena foundation and especially the tinted moisturizer. ULTA brand makes these doe foot cream shadows that are fabulous. I always use Essence mascara. Will never go back. Speaking of Essence, the nude highlighter is so very subtle that you could use it like a finishing powder like Hourglass. Revlon lip glosses are terrific. Here is a recommendation. Check out Avon on line for retractable lip and eye pencils. They’re amazing.

I don’t like when people say “it’s great for the price” my standard for makeup is it need to perform if it’s $5, $15,$30 $65. It just need to work.

The Revlon Prismatic Quad is gorgeousss but unfortunately on me they didn’t last and they barely showed up. Like they just kinda disappeared on me, no matter what base I used. I didn’t HATE it, it just didn’t work on my skin! But those Elf Shadow Sticks are 🖤✨ chefs kiss

You HAVE to try the physicians formula The Healthy foundation!!!! THE most natural looking foundation, not too glossy not too matte and the more you wear it THE BETTER IT LOOKS
