    I was an avid user of derma rolling and also the derma needling device (electronic device) there after, but I found that the time I had to wait until I could use minoxidil safely after each use had a huge knock on effect over a 6 month period. Perhaps I was using the device too often, twice a week in the evening, but I found the break I had to wait till I could safely use minoxidil again without going systemic really damaged what i was holding onto.

    Hairliciously is right, after a shower may be the best idea, in order to do this on a clean scalp, especially since the needles are going in to the scalp. This is also what my hair transplant doctor had suggested post procedure. Once per week, and put some peppermint oil on after. Avoid direct sunlight, and brushing your scalp with a brush for 24-48 hours until the needle punctures have healed. Also, avoid any vitamins, or foods that "reduce" inflammation. It may sound strange, however inflammation after microneedling, or after PRP is a good thing! All the best :)

    I had a hair transplant about 3 months back now and it seems to be coming in decent so far but the hair behind it is what im more worried about cause I’ve had it all shaved for like 2 years now so I’m not sure if the hair behind the transplant area ould have gotten any worse sense then, that being said I’m definitely going to microneedle weekly, the place I went gave me a free derma roller but it was only .5mm so idk what tf they thought that would do though lol but I’m def going to buy a 1.5mm soon. May also give Minoxidil and possibly even finasteride a try but I am only 23 so I’d be on that stuff a long time. also is a roller or the electric type better in terms of how well it works or are they about the same? A health and fitness channel I watch suggested that the derma roller may be a worse choice because the needles are going in and out of the skin at an angle and making more of tears in the scalp rather than just straight direct holes?

  • @downo

    @downo

I used a 1.5mm roller for a short while and found it a pain as I have a relatively decent amount of hair still and have it quite a long length on top so it was getting caught in my hair. Tried it wet and dry. Tried parting the hair. Ended up throwing it away and got myself a dermapen. The difference has been night and day. So much easier and the results have already been very good. No more hair getting caught in the roller. 100 times better. Hairliciously actually has a guide on how to use the dermapen on his channel.

    I’ve been on minoxidil for 3 months now, and I went through a bad shedding phase. I recently added in microneedling with the derminator 2 a week ago , and since then I feel like my hair is shedding a little more than normal again. Could this be because the holes punctured from the microneedler are allowing the minoxidil to be absorbed deeper than before or what? Thanks

    You just shed a lot when on min. Your hair goes through shedding phases, each time the hair grows back a little thicker. That's how it's supposed to work at least. Stick with it, add fin too for those real gains.

    @@mikeross111 that's what I think makes the most sense. People don't mention this anywhere. There is no "one" shedding phase. It's a cycle, you get thicker hair and the shed those and get even thicker hair and so on. That's we should wait for at least a year to see any significant results.

Although I was doing oral castor oil for 7 months straight before I saw on more plates more dates that you have to cycle it, so been off it for 3 months now. Long term I might have to do use an anti-androgen but atm its going good. I did see somewhere that DHT causes hair loss by inhibiting IGF1 in the hair follicles and Microneedling increases IGF1 in the affected areas so could work that way too.

I've been on this diet for a month and my temples are thickening up as well as new hair follicles are being grown again. The only downside is that this is expensive as fish isn't cheap. I used to do this once a day for a month...now I do it twice a day and since i'v begun using keto 2% the process has speeded up drastically. If I keep this up for a few more months my right temple will be a legitimate Norwood 0. I'd recommend you check this out hairliciously and everyone else

    @@hairliciously do you think using minox after rolling with 1 mm after 12 hours even has a risk of going systemic?

    @@bleachcheeks4837 I typically apply it 12 hours although I have done it right after. For me, I didn't get any sides. I'd say try it out and if you don't get any sides, you can stick with 12. If sides occur, go back to 24 hours.

    You are shedding, it is normal it pushes all the weak hair to make way for stronger thicker hair

    Shedding phase man, you’re fine. Any hair treatment takes about 6 months to see the full results, stopping your treatment at 6 weeks would be quite detrimental to your results, so continue and understand that it’s just shedding so that you don’t add stress (which will increase hair loss). Give it time, cheers!

    Push through the shedding phase. It will stabilize once newer, stronger hairs in the anagen phase emerge.

    Also, I've learned the cause of our male hair loss is the obsessive thinking we as adults allow. Stop the obsessive sabotaging thinking, stop the hair loss. Use voicing to yourself forgivenss to stop the addiction to obsessive internal thoughts. Real deal and mental stability health for sure!

    Shit that’s possible. It could be that and also being shamed as a child. I was shamed for growing my hair out ( skater phase ) and long behold. Eventually it started to fall out. I was fucking 15 years old.
