I'm British and I work in a fromagerie in Poitou Charentes, we only make goat's cheese. Our region is also famous for AOC butter, Cognac & Pineau de Charentes, on the coast oysters & mussels too. Good to see you can get a taste of French food culture in Denver.

OOH MY GOODNESS! I have got to come and hang out with you Mark! What a lovely way to spend an afternoon enjoying life. I took away so many tips. Room temp cheese, the honey with the cheese and oh the nick knacks of that store. Let me loose!!! Thank you for transporting me to Paris!!

So awesome! You can tell these people genuinely know and love France. Their shop/bistro/bar has a LOT of different stuff without being kitschy. I’d visit Denver just to go spend a day!

Oh, I get it - it’s a shop that SELLS French cheese,... not a cheese shop IN France. Big difference!

Quel étrange plateau de fromages! Il aurait fallu en choisir différentes variétés de régions très différentes, et se passer des noix, des fruits confits,de la pâte de coing et surtout de pâté ! Un morceau de pain frais beurré ou non aurait suffi ! Avec ça on pouvait boire un verre de vin rouge (un Beaujolais bien frais ou un petit Côtes-du-Rhône villages par exemple) ! Le Brillat-Savarin est délicieux, mais le vignotte est encore meilleur, mais plus dur à trouver. Il aurait fallu faire une somptueuse tarte au maroilles ! Mais, c'est déjà bien d'apprécier le vrai fromage, alors qu'aux USA, le fromage local ressemble souvent à de la bougie.

L'intention était bonne . Il est vrai que le choix était très difficile, car il y a en France plus de 400 sortes de fromages ! Il y en a aussi d'excellents en Italie, en Hollande, en Suisse et quelques-uns en Espagne.

No Olives on that Plate - I am so disappointed!!!

Because that is exactly how the elitist expects to have their cheese served, and nothing less! It’s a good thing this gem of a shop prioritizes connecting incredible cheeses from around the world to the incredible working class people of our country...at the most reasonable price, but then again why not add some fancy paper and jack the price up, right?

10 minutes in still no cheese lots of waffling.
