Hello Amy,I like to watch your bog garden.Venus flytrap is hard to keep long term,my VFT died after 3 years, but some VFT can live longer indoor without winter rest. So enjoy your plants as they growing.Thank you for this video.Waiting for your next update.

Howdy, I've been watching some of your videos. Good job! I keep orchids and carnivorous plants. And I think some of your problem is that some of these plants need a dormancy. And they all need highlight levels full sun or strong grow lights .and absolutely pure water. Rainwater RO water or distilled water. You can keep most of them in standing water. Except for nepenthes Sarracenia ,and the fly traps need a dormancy Through the winter. you may already know all these things.

Hello there - I just found you today. I love plants as well. I know from seeing your channel that you know a lot about plants. I do have a little concern for your carnivorous plant selection though. You have a fly trap (which are native to N. America) and in another video there were at least two American Pitcher Plants (Sarracenia). These plants, along with the Pinguicula vulgaris butterwort that you collected locally (Ireland) need to go dormant over the winter. I'm not sure, but this could be a reason you've not had much luck with some of these plants. They can survive for a bit without dormancy, but will lose vigor and eventually die if they never get a chance to rest! Right now, in December, my flytraps are outside (it freezes out at night here - Maryland in the USA). The Sarracenia and the Pinguicula vulgaris need to go dormant too - they don't need to freeze, but nights into the 40's (F) at least! I have seen Pinguicula vulgaris growing wild in Iceland! I have a couple of Drosera capensis which can take cool temperatures, but they don't require it! Mine are indoors over the winter, but they go outside in full sun from Spring through to Fall. The thing about Pinguicula is there are so many varieties - I have a Mexican variety that needs to be kept indoors over the winter. You need to know which type you're about to purchase so you can be prepared to care for it properly! P. vulgaris should definitely stay outdoors year-round! Also, if you have introduced dirt/soil from outside it may contain nutrients that could kill your carnivorous plants over time! Enjoy your carnivorous plants but definitely look into their care a bit deeper! I’d recommend looking at this site for more information: www.californiacarnivores.com

Hi Amy, thanks for another interesting video, although I’m not really into carnivores plants, I can’t deny that they are fascinating and am sure you can spend a lot of time watching them grow.

Chucky pigs! 😂 I got into keeping carnivorous plants because of you, thank you! Although I’ve just found aphids on my Venus fly trap 🙄 I need to make my own terrarium, yours looks amazing!

Haha yes that’s it!! How they even got that name I don’t know 🤣🤣 Ah that’s amazing, so nice to hear that! I hope you’re enjoying growing them. It’s taken me years to even get to this point (that they are staying alive!). Hopefully you get the aphids under control! 🤞🏼

you need more substrate cuz in pot, they need about the 3rd of the pot constantly in 0ppm water, they hate getting water on them, you need airflow, some of your plants need dormancy and some dont, you need ALOT more light, your dionaea should be blood red, barely red like yours mean bearelly enough light, but seem enough for your pings, but your pings may not like more light, and you never can give too much light to droseras, they need humidity, but not too much, about 70% but they are ok with way less, more will bring mold, for nepenthes, mines are at 85 for highland and 95% for my lowland....so your about there, you just need way more light for dionaea and drosera and your dionaea need dormancy and maybe your pings too depending on the speicie, in case you dont know, pinguicula are butterworth...
