Hello, I love your videos. Quick question: How do you feed them? Do you drop insects in the Pitcher, or does it attract bugs on its own? Our do you not worry about feeding them?

What do you do When your pitcher plant has a lot of bugs in it.? Do you clean the bugs out or just leave them in there ? 😊

@@amyadwan I did at the very beginning of the year... I was bored one day and was obsessed with ferns after watching jurassic park . I had watched lots of fern care videos and so I decided to get three ferns. A birds nest , a hay scented fern and a button fern. two out of three I still have and I've never looked back. 🥰

Hi Amy. Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS, I'm thrilled for you, this is exciting news. We have lots of jade plants around our garden and you've just given me the encouragement to go out and cut a piece to get rooted and grow into a nice houseplant. Geoff, on Everything Plants has a couple of very nice specimens that he has grown like small trees. That's my aim and I have access to free cuttings, so why not! I'll name this little plant Amy, I hope you don't mind, it will be ready to pot up by Oct, good timing.

I find taking apart a terrarium to be such a big decision but they can be an eye sore. I seem to like them best when they are placed somewhere which can easily be viewed up close. They are such a tiny world but they just don't make enough of a statement from a distance.

Hi Amy. I'll be interested to see how the fern transplants from where it popped up on it's own. I've tried in the past to do that with fern as well as moss which I found in my garden but neither were successful. My fault entirely! I was just thinking yesterday that I'd like to get some pinguiculas just for the fun of it, they won't take up much space, which I'm short on anyway. They have such cute little flowers. I watched Wildfern (YT) make a Pingdom in a glass bowl and thought I NEED one of them ( as if I don't have enough plants to take care of already)!!!

  • @Paula-sw2tt

I have three Staghorn fern varieties, all not mounted due to preference. All are thriving. Browning of the shield is normal. My late father collected Staghorn fern varieties, when we lived in San Diego, CA for his shade houses outdoors. I use organic fertilizer for my ferns, quite diluted. Begonias and I don't get along, so I don't have any in my collection. O only have one syngonium and it is a 'Milk Confetti' (my favorite).

I had no idea that there were so many different "Phytes" and have enjoyed learning a little more about them. This series is valuable to us becauseit helps to understand plants and their functions. Thank you so much and yes, I certainly would like this series to continue.🪴😃

A hibiscus was my first ever plant, when I was in school and I knew nothing about plants. It had cute pink flowers, I just asked my parents to buy and put it in my room. It was happy there, in a bright location, but a bit far away from the window. its flowers always made my day, but I remember being worried because they were falling off too soon! As you say, 24 hours. After a few weeks/months of the same, I finally understood that's what hibiscus does :) It lived happily ever after, I have long moved from that house, but my mom still takes care of it and calls it my plant 💝

Hi Amy. Having a beautiful flowering Hibiscus can make you feel like you're living in the tropics. Having said that, because we live in the sub-tropics we can grow them outdoors. We have a gorgeous orange one in a large pot and because it constantly flowers we didn't want to prune it and of course it became leggy. A hard prune did it the world of good and it's constantly in flower again. We love it and can't stop admiring the lovely flowers. Thanks for sharing your Hibiscus, you have to love it, with those beautiful red blooms.

Great job on all your hard work Amy. I am sure it is a relief that you have it completed. Will be so interesting to see the plants flourish. I am not sure what you have where you live in Ireland, but I use a 2 gallon pump sprayer to water my plants. The other thought I had is getting a sheet of clear acrylic to use as a cover. Here in the states you can usually go to a DIY type store and get it cut to size. Possibly could order from Amazon as well. I know I would probably get tired to taking the cling wrap off and on. Anyway, again fantastic job! I really enjoy watching you. 🙂

Thank you so much ✨🌱 Thankfully all doing well so far since making this. Thats an excellent recommendation re the clear acrylic - thank you! Will go down this route for sure because yes the cling wrap is only meant to be temporary and is already annoying 😅 Appreciate the support! 🌱💕
