Could white have been shown Qxd4, winning knight. From there if black plays exd4 then Ne4+ forking king and queen, this exchanging down with white being up a minor piece, better pawn structure and basically no pressure after 0-0 and d3?! (alternatively black merely moves out of check but loses the knight and it's queenside pressuring ways)

If at all possible (and it may be impossible since you have so many videos), it would be really fantastic if the various chess lesson videos you have could be organized into a playlist. They don't all have consistent titles and they can be a little hard to find. For example, this video is named "1 hour Beginner Chess Lesson with TierZoo", but then the next lesson with Tierzoo is named "Teaching TierZoo #2: Easy Openings for Black". These types of videos are excellent educational material so I think it would be beneficial to organize them into a playlist so that everyone can easily find them all. I understand though if time does not permit that sort of thing. Thanks for the informational content!

Levy, I've been really into chess the last month and have read lots of articles and watched countless instructional videos. Your videos are far and away the best I've come across. This one in particular was super helpful because TierZoo is about the same level as I am, so it almost felt like I was the one getting a private lesson. Thanks for all you've done for my game.
Wow, I'm surprised I got through this entire hour and hardly even noticed. Thanks Levy. Brand new to chess and trying to get my brain up to speed. Your videos have been exceptionally helpful especially when working with beginners step-by-step. Awesome videos. Keep it up, man!
As someone who's never understood the intricacies of chess, this video was very informative! The way you described the thought process of beginner chess players is exactly how my thought process goes when playing chess. And then you start explaining all these little things and it just clicked in my head. I'm excited to try it out now!
Levy - this was fantastic. Apart from the clear explanations, I really like the encouragement you offer and the confidence you give. Saying things like "you should be teaching me" or "we'll see you at the Candidates" is great; although it's obviously meant in jest, hearing things like that as a student can really give the serotonin spike that further motivates the learning process. Great stuff.

It’s really sad when u play after watching this video and then nothing as shown happens😭
I have watched & enjoyed many of your vids. But this is BY FAR my favorite, even though it's "beginner" stuff. I'm an intermediate, but I learned some good things here! You can tell a lot from how a person teaches an aprentice something they are an expert at. You are patient, thorough, creative, supportive, compassionate and passionate in your style and demeanor. But MOST importantly, there is a WARMTH in your teaching. Too many "experts" (chess & other skills) have a superior, condescending and sometimes even punitive edge to their delivery. What shines out to me here is your love for turning beginners on to the WONDERS of chess! My respect level for you Levy has just made a quantum leap! Thank You so much for this video!
This was great! I've always had the issue of understanding WHY we make the opening moves we do. This helped so much to see the thought process and why we do what we do when we do it.

Youre an absolute great teacher for those who just want to start chess like me. the more u talk gives me sort of comfortability in listening. as beginner it helps me to understand easier bcs i am always hooked up when u are doing in that kind way of teaching. Im on my way to ur 2nd lesson. Thank you so much ❤️
It’s not just that Levy is as patient and as calm as a saint, it’s also that he genuinely enjoys when his students have a lightbulb moment. Sign of a natural born educator.
We need more of these lessons/lectures. We have nothing else to do and this counts as learning 🤣

This vid also taught how NOT to stalemate(I'm newb).
Thanks 🙏. Love your teaching method walking student through and then explaining and exploring reasons for the moves. It greatly helps with learning for players 🙌💯👍
Congratulations, this lesson format is just so illuminating. Highlighting the various thought processes, Student and Tutor, related to each move, both White & Black. Magic.
You da man Levy ! Thanks a lot for helping me improve my chess !! You're the best
I love this video so much. Gothamchess is such a great teacher. As a fellow novice, I feel like I learnt a lot. It also just felt like chill hanging out with friends. I absolutely loved it.
one of my two favourite KZreadrs that I didn't ever expect to Collab, but they did, and it's great. Like this Collab is just exactly perfect. It's so unexpected, but just works out so well. And they also mentioned Charlie, omg this is just the best
Very nice to follow these sequences with you, very usefull. Thanks for the vid and all the best!
Exactlyyyyy me too, Charlie got me into chess again . Played a lot when I was in elementary school. But when he beat xqc I got right back into it and all the creators
Even my 14-yr old son goes “this guy is a really good teacher”
Most useful beginner lesson I have watched on KZread so far! Very relatable. Thank you
I'm new but am really enjoying your channel. While "technically" over 1000, I found a number of things in this video helpful, and really liked how you tested TZ after explaining concepts. Felt like a real teachable moment. I missed the Knight could take with check on e4 as well. Looking forward to watching the rest of your lessons and learning to finally abuse Nelson in games.
*getting flashbacks to magnus trying to teach the rule of square but then revealing that he doesnt know it lol*
I really enjoyed the pacing of this video, it gave me sufficient time to digest and understand the ideas presented. Don't listen to the hater Levy, keep it up :)
I just want to say I've watched several of your videos recently (YT algorithm ftw) and this video is what made me for sure subscribe. The way you are teaching is interesting and engaging to watch. I haven't even played chess for years, but I might start now. Thanks!
Love this type of content, its fun, accesible and i learned a lot with it! Thx, Keep it coming
This is great content. It's nice to see someone of similar noob level getting walked through why certain moves are good or bad.
Love your vids. Thanks for sharing all of the insights and lessons. You rock. Thanks again!
Ooooh boy, did enjoy this video! This was one of the must teaching vídeos for me. I definitely share lots of the thinking process from him, I'm really new at studying chess so I felt like you were talking to me, thanks for the great content as always l, shoutouts from Nicaragua
You've just started showing up in recommended for me. Bless the algorithm.
Omg, I had never heard of the square... This will save me so much time!
Excellent thinking construction through discussions. Thank you for helping us learning chess this way
This is an amazing video, thank you so much, im trying to learn chess and this made me see all the beginner concepts in action. Great content!
kind of strange to me to see that pinned comment but - wanted to "counter" it (lol) by saying this was enormously useful and i really appreciated being able to eavesdrop on this lesson. i only know how i should be developing my pieces and this gave me a ton to think about. thank you!
gimme the tierlist for beginners!
It's been ages since i watched an entire 1h long video, you guys make a good couple as teacher and student!
Just started and subbed thanks for the tips!!!
the algorithm is recognizing gothamchess I'm glad that this was in my recommendations :)
Love this- my first sub to a chess channel:)
That was fascinating; I really enjoyed that! Are there any more videos like this? There should be!
Loving this kind of video. Would never in my mind found myself watching one hours chess videos. I love it
I was sad he dismissed Nb5 when he first started trying to finish the fried liver game. It gets taken by the pawn on c6, but the Rc1# and the only way black can avoid forced mate right away is to sacrifice the queen on C6.
