I love simplicity! This will sound a bit oversimplified, but when you have spent the time and money to buy all the same socks or underwear, just stack them flat and grab one or two at a time. They don’t get messy, you don’t have to sort them, and when you go to put them away, there is no space needed for a storage system except maybe a flat cardboard divider or white box. You don’t even need to fold them! I did this when my kids were young so I didn’t have to sort and pair socks. If there are odd socks or favorites that are unusual, you will have visual space to see them, as well. 😅

Square bottom cardboard shoe boxes work well for splitting drawer space. Sox, underwear stay sorted. You don't lose space, like the plastic sloped items from stores. If you want color, gab a can of spray paint. Cardboard bonds better than plastic to spray paint. I do recommend wiping the cardboard with clorox wipes or something similar, before painting and using them.

Such brilliant ideas Cathy!

I got a big dresser with alot of little drawers and there not deep. There like maybe 20 inches wide if that.I just used two of the real little essentials collapsible storage containers. They just fit. I got two In each drawer put in sideways. I like the cups are cuter but I'd have to use a whole drawer that way and this way I got socks and panties. Lol I like that it looks organized but they don't get mixed up together. Also still looks organized even though I didn't fold them. I usually end up messing my drawers anyways. I litterally just organized my dresser lastnight and now I can wait to organize more. My linen closet it is next. I have 2 shelves kinda organized but not all. I wish I loved cleaning as much as organizing or decorating lol I love all your videos I was thinking of your ideas you gave while at dollar tree yesterday.

Hi Shannon, Yesterday I saw your video where you used a seven day pill organizer for your earring studs. I’ve been having a problem seeing what the studs are because they seem to end up face down. So this is perfect for me. I’ve decluttered enough so that I have room in a drawer with my make up. I found that I have eight pairs of studs. So I’m questioning the need for the tiny gold ball earrings. They came in a set of three- Largest, medium, and smallest. So I might get rid of the smallest. Thank you very much for this creative tip. I’d rather not put them up on the medicine cabinet door. But beside my make up, is a perfect place. I’m all for making life simpler. Thank you very much.

I love this . . . a great idea to go vertical! We have a bigger space than we need now but plan to downsize to a smaller place soon. So we are trying to think ahead. I love the minimal mom also!
