You can use vinegar to clean your coffee maker for less money. Just rinse after use. I use glass storage containers instead of plastic. I do not use any plastic for storage of foods. Love the paper storage! PLEASE, read labels of food products.

Yes, it's hard, plastic is sooo prevalent, but we really need to think about all that plastic waste. I'm trying to get rid of most plastic and using more glass. I've been watching for a while, over a year anyhow. I do love your organization hacks. Thanks!!

I use vinegar and water as well but the calcium buildup or whatever it (clinging to the walls) does not flow through the tube. I have a small cleaning utensil that I used to clean it out of my pod coffee maker with lil bit of soapy water then rinsing it twice and pouring it directly into the sink.

One of my pet peeves is cords. I use cord keepers or cord minders to corral cords on my appliances. I have them on my kitchenaid mixer, toaster, crock pots and anything else that is on the counter or stored in cupboards. Makes it organized and I don’t have cords getting tangled.

Love using the all purpose cleaning spray

I use reusable ziplocks bags. Some from Dollar Tree others from Amazon. Great for freezing food and shelf storage. Easy to wash and saves $$$. The awkward cabinets above the microwave and refrigerator I use use for surplus (extra staples I purchased on sale).

That ‘bin’ would make my family roll in the floor laughing. It would take a suitcase for our plastics!! I have 3 deep drawers where I keep mine *with the lid on every container* or directly underneath. And, like many here, I pour a hefty splash of vinegar in the holding tank of my Keurig and make cups until all the solution has gone through snd completely rinsed well! I bought the wooden bag holder at the Target dollar spot for $5 and it’s sturdy and great but no bags come with it. I still love it though because the wooden looks so uncluttered and clean.

As an organizer, I find that most people keep too many storage containers- even if you are a batch cooker for a large family, elderly relatives, etc. you can pare down. I like your system with the basket- great for tiny spaces. 🌷

Not only will your coffee taste better, but your coffee maker will last much longer. Lime scale build up can destroy your machine.
