Hello Catherine. Your channel came up organically for me and I am thoroughly enjoying your videos. Thank you. As a mature woman who raised my own children and ran a daycare for many years, easily caring for over 500 children throughout my life, I feel compelled to share this. In your children’s playroom, toy section, and in your sons bedroom, clearing video, I noticed you commenting about how many toys you have, how people might think it’s too much, etc. Never apologize for the way you raise your children, and your choices! It is obvious that you are a caring mother. It is no one’s business and if they offer negative comments or judgement in that respect, just delete it and move on. Little sister, you are rocking it!❤

Just a FYI, if you need a small dowel for a project, I’ve seen a lot of people cut the long bar from a plastic clothes hanger with wire cutters and it’s the same size as a dowel and you can use a white one and have it already colored instead of just plain wood

I love this idea, I have slowly been replacing my white plastic hangers, And was wondering what to do with them. Our resale shops are overstocked on hangers so they don’t want them. I will hang onto them a little longer and see if I can make something useful that needs dowels.

Love your videos. Tip: if you want to have less waste/trash/recycling AND save a mint on healthcare costs - and not necessarily spend more on food - transition to a meat/fat based diet vs a plant-based one for the whole family. Support regenerative (especially local) ranching/farming to heal the planet.

So glad to see someone bringing attention to this subject. People would be surprised at how satisfying this type of eating is and, therefore, less expensive in the long run. This includes less medical costs. Thank you!

@@judithmcfarland943 ❤️ I continue to be amazed. Tonight I came across a video of a man who avoided having a hip replacement, and in fact regrow all of his cartilage. He credited to Dr. Ken Berry with the inspiration to try a completely new way of eating. it wasn't completely carnivore, he eliminated all sugars, all starches, all nightshade vegetables, and added turmeric, glucosamine chomdroitin And collagen supplements. And he walked or biked very carefully every day pushing himself a little bit past is crippling arthritis as his ability expended. He said he was 75% better after three months, and then he just continued even though his doctor told him he would still need the hip replacement. I think you said around a year or so he had an accident, something necessitated Diagnostic imaging and the doctor and he were both astounded that all of his collagen I've been restored, no need for a hip replacement. We need animal products!

Be sure to add a brown sugar softener to your brown sugar. I have a clay disk that I soak in water...dry it off and place in the container of brown sugar. It keeps the sugar soft and easy to use. You could've just warmed the brown sugar in the microwave to soften it for use.

This is a very helpful video. I like to put my spices on double tiered lazy susans or turn table because I can get so much more in an average cabinet. I start on top and write with a sharpie or put a stick up letter of an A under the first spice like allspice, then go around in alphabetical order and then start the bottom section with let's say I'm on G. So I put a G below the A to indicate to my family that this is where it starts again and what letter it starts with. This has amazingly worked for me for 30+ years. I use the riser style you use in the middle for larger things like salt and peppers in the cabint above the stove. I use this for my spices with the riser in the middle and double lazy susans on each side works so well. Hope that makes sense.

I loved the wood craft idea is ideal and the blue baskets for under cabinet idea. I did something similar when I reorganized my cabinet under my bathroom sink. Instead I took a shelf and put a locker bin basket on top and filled it with cleaning products. Also the hooks you mentioned about using for measuring cups or utensils - I have a stand alone range and so on the left i inverted one of those hooks and took Christmas ornaments t hooks (or can use paper clips opened) and I hung my oven mitts and pot holders on side of my range so when I need to take something out of the oven - the mitts are there! Another idea I discovered is to use metal or plastic coated shelves for my tea and coffee products. They stack perfectly so on top I placed a round lazy Susan tray and put tea balls, some tea packages, and other, the middle ii placed containers or braces of teas. And the bottom I have a plastic basket for tea pods, and packaged drinks like Chinese ginger drink so I removed the packaging placed the individual package and put them in zip lock bags and put them in the basket

Catherine - tip for brown sugar if hard - put sliced apple inside or a ceramic or clay brown sugar saver which you soak in warm water for 15 mins then add to brown sugar and it will soften! I’ve had really hard brown sugar and tried those methods and it came back to soft state - it works! Also for mouldy cheese, cut off around mould and it can still be used passed expiry in cooking (unless it smells really stinky) Also I have a lot of things past expiry like spices and can goods that aren’t spoiled. In fact I read and watched programs where they say that the date on packages is a guideline not a must for expired items. They said one can use items past expired dates. Some of my spices I’ve had for 20 years and others have been 4 years past expiry date

I have always kept brown sugar in a air tight baggie in a nicer container. I use a decorative jar or canister. I put baggie of brown sugar, which has hardened, in the microwave for a short amt of time, in increments, massaging it in between intervals of 10-20 seconds depending on microwave. This has always worked wonderfully, for me.

I finally added things to the inside of my kitchen cabinets. The main thing is to measure first and also measure the hook and how long the thing is that’s going to hang down. I’ve also got things hanging on the left and right walls of lower cabinets and those things have been chosen so they don’t interfere when I pull things off of the shelves I added to the inside of the cabinet (because if I want a pot to cook with I just want to grab it and pull it out, or put it away with one move.) A little planning does the trick. I am beyond happy with the result and it has been well over a year since I did that project.

Recently saw a video showing someone using a brush to loosen window track dirt while sucking up the loosened dirt with a vacuum in the other hand, so clever! We have lots of humudity, so cleaning more often helps a lot, too. Not all steamers are created equal, unfortunately. I once used a steamer that cleaned a filthy oven with ease! And I've had one that performed pitifully. Not sure what you have, maybe humidity made your window tracks harder to clean? (This one of my least favorite tasks!)

Whether or not they clean out their refrigerator regularly and use their leftovers properly. I think you are going to see more of it in these organization videos, you are more likely to find minimalists doing these videos also - And they love to throw things away.

I think it would work for me because I am super minimal about make up and personal care and cleaning products, and I am embarking on a super simplified eating plan for this month so I can catch up on paperwork and hopefully feel better as well. It would be totally doable in a travel trailer or even a minivan! Maybe you could do a video on how you organize things, people love a good before and after!

This is just my opinion but you did it many times!! Honestly weather I can afford the container store or not I think is being financially irresponsible when you can get the same somewhere else! And believe me you are far behind others with your “ideas”! And I’m sure your kitchen baths are back to your normal! I’m just saying watch your tone and how you are saying!
