070824 HURRICANE BERYL FATAL AND MONTGOMERY COUNTY DAMAGE
About 1pm Monday afternoon as the eye approached the New Caney area a good samaritan and his friend both donned their tractors and began to move tree debris off the roadway, As they did so the winds picked back up. That is when a large tree toppled from the wind landing on the man and his tractor. MCHD and Porter Fire were dispatched to the scene but the male who was in his 40's was pronounced deceased. Montgomery County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack was contacted for an inquest. He ordered Rios Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. Montgomery County Sheriff's Office investigated the scene.

Remember folks, wait until the eye is over your area. The strongest winds are at the eye wall. Sometimes slow moving storms have an eye that will give you a chance to do something like this but it's best to wait until the storm passes period.
He tried to be a good neighbor.

I saw people chatting yesterday that were all in the new caney area and it brought me to tears. Everyone offering to go check on strangers and to help them with removing debris. That’s what true Texans are all about. God bless Texas and rip with our Heavenly Father you sweet, selfless man!

If one of my family members were accidentally killed in an accident like this, and this POS order an autopsy there would be a big problem. These people down there every time there's something happens they order an autopsy they love Cuttin Up butchering people. In Texas if there is no sign of Foul Play, no one can order an autopsy unless they have family permission.

He had no business being there doing that, it was not his job to do so. He lost his own life because of willingly ignorance. He knew better. That's like going out and doing a cops job, when you are not a cop. Common sense factor
