Ex flight attendant here, the reason you have to have items stowed, tables up and seat up during take off is partly because you don’t want to fly into the tray table or your laptop in a rejected takeoff or and emergency landing, but also because you need to (according to regulations which is tested in manufacturing) be able to evacuate the plane in 90 seconds with half the doors operational. This means that you can’t have bags, tray tables and large items in the way because they will slow down the evacuation. The reason you can have an IPad but not a laptop is because you have to draw the line somewhere, you can’t make people not use phones or books but a laptop is large enough and definable enough that you draw the line there. iPads with keyboards and such are in a bit of a gray area, the official limit is over 1kg but it’s mostly up to the flight attendant if they deem it to be large enough to cause a delay in an evacuation. These things do happen, and while the crew does their absolute best to make everything as safe as possible things fall through the cracks and when that happens robust and enforced safety regulations are there to save as many lives as possible. Also, the myth about heads down being to break your neck for insurance purposes is very much false, if you put your legs up you’ll immediately break them on impact and won’t be able to get out of the (probably) burning airplane and therefore die. If you sit normally your upper body will fly down to your knees with very strong force and you’ll probably get whiplash. That’s why you already want to have your head there on impact. The best thing you can do is listen to your flight attendants, they know exactly what both you and they need to do in an emergency and their main job is to keep you alive. All this is based on my experience with EASA (European) regulations.

If you want to see the evacuation test of the Airbus A380, it's on youtube if you search for it! It's an impressive display of what an effective evacuation would be like, and very much the ideal to strive for in your role as a flight attendant, although in real life the passengers are usually a lot less prepared. And if you're interested in safety procedures I'm sure the cabin crew on your next flight will be happy to answer any questions.

I'm a housekeeper for best western and surprisingly our pillows our branded BW pillows they come in varying standards depending on the hotel you are staying at. The best person to ask about what pillow that the hotel uses is going to be the housekeeping manager or housekeeping supervisor. Front desk will not know because cross training for front desk and housekeeping hardly ever happens. So some hotels have branded pillows so I'd also look on the websites of the hotels that you've stayed cause you can possibly order it online as well.

I know the game didn't work quite as intended, but I thought it was fun. I'm a Watcher fan enough to recognize some of these quotes, but not really enough to solve them either. So I really identified with the cast almost-but-not-quite remembering some of these moments.

Routine is key. I have insomnia and the only thing that has helped me is the routine of putting my phone away and taking melatonin and cozy rain sounds. It takes some time but after a few weeks sleep comes easier.

I recently learned that melatonin doesn't work nearly as well if you take it too soon after eating. Apparently 2 hours between last bite and melatonin is recommended. I've been using melatonin sporadically/on and off for like 8 years and never knew this

I've used a U shaped pregnancy pillow for years now as my main pillow. Especially as a side sleeper. My arms don't go numb anymore and my hips get their support too. It's amazing having that thing. I sleep horribly without it

Many five stars hotels in the USA get their pillows from Pacific Coast Feather Company. They rebrand them. The Down Around pillow is very popular. But personally I think the Double Down Around is the best price to comfort ratio. I don’t work for the company, I just know the hospitality industry. They sell to the public on their website. I buy them for my household and they hold up.
