hearing the thoughts about the trendy shoe and not wanting to wear them and liking them but confused about should you wear it or not was really painful to hear. If you like something, rock it…. It’s simple as that. Who cares if everyone else is wearing them. It’s not that complicated. Especially if it’s a piece that goes well with the outfit.
I thought all girls wear skinny jeans and it never goes out of style? What has taken its spot?
baggy/wide leg, barrel/horseshoe, and construction/cargo jeans. personally i don’t care for the barrel/horseshoe ones but love the other kinds. that being said i’m not sure of adeline’s preferences but i know a lot of minimalists prioritize classic yet comfortable silhouettes over trends, so i could see minimalists leaning towards a straight leg or trouser jean (basically wide leg but more tailored/dressy looking). meanwhile a lot of women don’t like skinny jeans anymore cause we wore them in our teens/early 20s and they were super uncomfortable lol

@@redesignedlife777 i don’t lol i hate em! but to answer your question leggings are a soft enough fabric that they have more give. personally leggings still make me feel constricted, but jeggings are literally bad for your circulation because they’re similarly tight but with a thicker/stiffer fabric that is less forgiving to your body-i remember reading news/medical articles discouraging people from wearing jeggings or skinny jeans every day so as not to harm their circulation 💀

Great tips!! Showing ankles, wrists, waist definition, and/or neck/chest are key to petite dressing I think! Proportions and balance are so important. And thank you for not just throwing on heels with all these outfits and calling it an outfit!

I’m not a petite but my waist is 28 right now , I gain weight for the least 6 months . So my bust is 34B , hips 38.5 and wearing length 30” not sure what size of trouser should I get if small or medium .

The black pearly dress looks amazing on you!! <3 I also own the pearly and a little tip, I actually tie it once at the chest (where the straps cross), before putting the straps over my shoulders to pull the chest fabric together! Makes it much more wearable for me :)

Crochet top was very flattering on you. It’s worth investing in a nude strapless bra as it will open up a lot of options for and you will probably still be getting use out of it long after you have grown tired of the top.

Hi Adeline, you looked stunning in the strapless dress, perfect for a summer wedding. I had a similar strapless linen dress, but I just kept tugging at it to make sure it wasn’t slipping down and it ended up with so many creases when I sat and moved around, that I hardly reach for it anymore. Thanks for sharing 😊

Beautiful pieces and video Adeline. Keep the chrocheted top it was so pretty on you. You could use a nude strapless bra for so many pieces. Even the halter top. With a bra on, the halter top might not smash your boobs. Omg! That buttermilk colored strapless dress is amazing on you. If I was younger I would order it. It'll be perfect for the wedding. I'm loving that color lately and it's so on trend right now. I recently purchased some pieces in this color and loved them. It's actually a very neutral color.Ty so much.
That’s another thing I don’t like about Sezane, their tops and dresses are too low-cut and revealing. This is especially a problem for petites like me, some of the tops, etc., expose me almost to the navel! I never show cleavage, I just don’t feel comfortable doing that, so I’ve given up on most of their dress, top and V-neck sweater styles. Their clothes are too overtly sexy, like those at Reformation, but I need a more subtle, modest cut. One could be mistaken for a street walker in some of these clothes!
I’ve lost interest in Sezane a lot this year. So many of their items are just too Boho or otherwise too “statement”. They never have anything in my favorite color, true white, everything is ecru, even though that’s not the current trend (“Brilliant White” is the Pantone light neutral this year). I loved their selection last year, when they had matching silk skirts and tops, but there’s hardly any silk this year, just that boring “Chlo” shirt. I’m also frustrated because I wasn’t fast enough to get the navy Paula Babies, my favorite shoes, and they, months later, still haven’t restocked them. This is a basic color, it’s not like they’re neon orange or lime green, why the heck don’t they bring them back? They hardly order any stock to meet the demand on their items because they’re always trying to create that item /brand fever and drive the prices up, I’m sick of it. Also, they rarely have anything for us who have cool coloring and I can’t stand the goat leather they use. Last autumn I got two of their goat leather skirts, not having had any experience with this material and they’re still stinking up my whole house, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to wear them. Not too sexy seems to be an issue many women are not cognizant of in the US and it horrifies me on many occasions. My brother got married two years ago. It was a backyard wedding on a large country property in western Michigan. One of his friend's showed up to the reception with a date wearing a God awful Herve Leger style bandage dress. I've long hated that dress style for ANY occasion. Worse she was very thin and very obviously had a huge boob job and and even worse BBL or something that resulted in her rear looking very large and oddly shaped. It stuck out like a shelf. I could have set a few drinks on it and they would have stayed there! I pointed it out to my sister who isn't into fashion but she agreed she looked sluty. Woman can be sexy without looking that way and for some reason many women seem to prioritize looking sexy. She was not clubbing in Vegas for God's sake! She stuck out so badly. My opinion was supported the next morning when the bride's mom and the other older women were talking about her and I said yes, I agree and I noticed that right away. You couldn't miss her if you tried! We all laughed. My gentle and subtle style advice has saved 3 wedding I was in from hideous fashion disasters! I appreciated what they wanted but just suggested a few tweaks that made a huge difference. Just suggestions so as not to offend them. Thankfully, they liked my choices and my opinion. They have long looked to me for style advice so I was very happy to help them have what they wanted but just slight changes that made it infinitely better. Phew!

I bought the Wilma dress too and had to return it. On me the body fit well, except the neck. The neck opening was so small, disproportate I think to the rest the dress. I so wanted to keep it. So sad.

I know it's different in the UK but black is a color that many people (including myself) have worn to weddings for a long time. It's classic, slimming and you can never go wrong with it for any occasion really. General more muted colors and neutrals always also work as long as they are not close to white or cream. The rules in the UK are more strict I'd say. We obviously do not wear hats or fascinators for any occasion, except the Kentucky Derby. It might be kind of fun if we did though! I'd have to go with a very small one though and a very simple to not feel odd or garish.

Agreed. It really depends on the piece! Some are well priced but some are ridiculous. I also find the quality has gone down in recent years since they have become more and more popular.
