I am much taller and twice your weight I guess, but am taking still so much out of your videos. I think you should get the Trench shortenend, but just a smidgeon - don't make it kneelength, it should retain that oversize feel. Just my two cents :) Edit: The maroon Sambas are to die for! Lucky you

Keep trench long It looks terrific that length and if you don’t like it, then you can shorten it next year this length is much less common than it would be, if you shortened it, which would not make it special. I love everything you got, including the Samba’s you scored in Japan, and made some excellent purchases. Congratulations. I hope you’re really happy with everything.🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤

The jeans I have on when I am talking to camera are the Rowe jeans from Weekday. And then the other pair I am wearing when showing the Petite Studio items are the le high straight jeans from Frame x

I wouldn't shorten the Trench, but I would raise the hem of the sleeves about 1 inch each side, so it looks like yours and not your dad's. That wouldn't be bad, but just pin that first and see the difference, that may make your mom like it more!! That is what I would do!

@AdelineLoke It was just the length, the shoulder fit I agree is good, arm length was what I meant. I like the longer coat length like the previous commenter, I think petite look better in that length. Just a thought, anyway.

Hi Adeline, how does the shipping work for Petite Studio? I’m concerned that there will be import fees/ duty to pay if I order?

Fun vlog! Great finds...! (And I'm borrowing your "holiday brain" quip). :) How reliable is authentication, tho, in Japan? Everyone raves about luxury vintage, but....hmmm, can one trust it any more/less than anywhere else? Plus, tourists seem an especially easy target for high quality fakes (it's not like anyone is going to easily jump on a plane to complain about an item that proves to be fake).

Japan has really strict laws around selling counterfeits and Japanese stores must have a license to sell luxury goods. But of course you can never be too careful and so I would advise still doing your own research before purchasing any preloved luxury items :)

Hi Adeline Love the video. Was shocked that the issey miyake trousers are polyester. How is the fabric? Im sure you're more used to natural fibres ?

Hey Gillian, you are absolutely right I do try to stick to mainly natural fibres. However there are some nuances and exceptions. For example in occasion wear (where I might not be able to afford something that was 100% silk - as an example) or athletic wear. If we are taking environment as the only factor, then yes I would not purchase these polyester trousers. However, if we view fashion through the lens of art and design then there are also exceptions, like in the case of this item, where the pleating would not be able to be made with natural fibres as it works best on polyester. These are also beautifully constructed trousers - it is not the same as buying polyester from the high street and having it fall apart after a few washes. At the same time that doesn't mean I am going to buy lots of items from the Issey Miyake line - I will still limit my consumption. I hope my comment made sense! There is so much nuance when it comes to talking about materials and environment and I hope my words don't get twisted. At the end of the day we are all trying to do our best which means different things to everyone :) xx
