I picked up wearing silk scarves from French colleagues 40 years ago and still love wearing them. They add color, pattern, femininity and elegance to solid-color items outfits. Plus, a silk neck scarf is essential for wearing under my cashmere or wool sweaters in winter, the skin on my neck can’t stand the irritation of wooly fibers without one.

Just found you Lauren and love your channel. I'm 69 and have always loved fashion. I have always loved classic, timeless minimal style. But French style is also a style I truly love and enjoy wearing. Luckily over my many years of styling, I do have all of these pieces. Although I do have several of the pendant necklaces, I wasn't familiar with French women wearing round or oval pendant necklaces. Ty so much for the tip and I can't wait to add this accessory when creating a French inspired outfit. Hello from North Miami Beach and Ty again for a great video.

Hi there Mary, it's lovely to hear from you and thanks for making to time to watch and comment 🙏 So happy to hear you love French style and you've been able to incorporate these pieces into your wardrobe and style! Happy to share and glad it may have helped - as a tourist I didn't spend enough time in France to thoroughly observe the local style and across the different seasons, so I never picked up on the pendant necklaces until living here! Hope you're enjoying beautiful weather over at North Miami Beach and happy Monday to you!

I just returned from Paris (and other parts of France) and I think you nailed the Parisian look. I was surprised to see how many women were wearing low boots or knee high boots with skirts, dresses and shorts! I live in Calgary Alberta Canada where most folks drop their boots in favour of anything else at the first sign of warmth. However I can see how wearing sandals etc can be very impractical in Paris and other towns with cobblestones and uneven walkways. Thanks Lauren!!

Hi Deb, bon retour back to Canada! Where else did you visit in France? Thanks so much for sharing what you noticed and your thoughts! It's very similar in Sydney with dropping boots as soon as the sun shines! I'm surprised as well - for example today it's supposed to be the start of summer but I'm wearing two layers of knitwear here in Paris....we're still waiting for the warmth here 😂 Hope you're glad to be home, I've always wanted to visit Alberta, the landscape there looks exquisitely beautiful

As a Frenchman and a Parisian by birth, I can only agree 100% with your remarks. I love our women's discreet makeup style and acceptance of seeing themselves age. Wrinkles assert a face, giving it strength (quiet strength, as a renowned advertising executive would say here). And, it's an additional charm, an asset, therefore, not a defect. Moreover, on French television sets, contrary to the idea of “fashion” (fashion comes from the French expression: “à la façon de” ⇾ “in the way of”) that we have of France, our (women) presenters, unlike in other countries, are not ultra-sexy fashion model style. We find all types of women and all ages. We don’t ostracize people because of their age. On the contrary, we respect them even more. As a man, I'm more daring with colors than my male colleagues. Who I often find to be too dull in their clothing style. Beautiful colors, well arranged, can create a remarkable style. In any case, yes, our French women are naturally beautiful. And that’s how we admire them. Have a pleasant day.

Such a great video Lauren 😊I appreciate your input on the wardrobe essentials most worn by Parisian/French women. I find that French women, and specifically Parisian, have such a sense of style and styling. It seems effortlessly chic and timeless. What you mentioned about the bags worn and that they are mostly without visible logos or branding. It is the same in The Netherlands with more quiet luxury. For myself, I prefer a crossbody bag that does not shout with logos. Polene is my favourite as is Longchamp. They are excellent quality and comfortable to carry.

Hi Cristina, happy Sunday and thank you for making the time to watch and share your thoughts 😊 I agree with you that the sense of styling does appear effortlessly chic and timeless ❤️❤️❤️ It's interesting to hear it's the same in The Netherlands as well with handbags! Are there any styling differences? Do you think it's colder climate wise in The Netherlands compared to France? I still need to visit up there as I haven't as yet! Love your handbag brand choices, very chic, stylish and timeless 😍

It’s so hard to find checked blazers here in the US, especially in summer-weight ones. I’ve been looking everywhere, and finally ordered three to try just yesterday. I got a few tote bags and also for my state of New Jersey reusable bags bc our law does not allow plastic bags. @@LaurenGraceHarding well it can comfy cold of 40s to wind chill cold to teens feeling negative. It depends each day in winter and how much snow the season we get. Our country is big that one part of area is snowed to the brim and almost more freezing. Chicago is the best example due to the lake effect. While I went to Chicago and December it was not as bad in the cold I seen videos if it’s to freezing point.
