    It's not a tractor or Bobcat issue. He wants the 1025 to do more than what it is rated to do. I have a 1021 and it works great for what I need. I have been in situations where I maxed the capabilities out. It's not the tractor or Bobcats fault, I should of got a bigger tractor.

    Prime example of someone not knowing what they are doing. No matter what size tractor you wanna lift something with, and no matter what the lift or curl capacity is when you put the forks on the end of a bucket like that you cut it about a fourth of what it actually is.

  • @joecampbell4579
    @joecampbell45799 ай бұрын

    😂 it also cuts lift capacity because the weight is further from the pin. A tractor should always curl more than it can lift at equal distances from the pin which this machine clearly cannot. The log is also rolled back all the way to the edge of the bucket. This is not my first subcompact tractor and a proven design flaw, my previous Kubota BX would have zero issues with this same task. Doesn’t matter how much you can lift if you can’t keep the bucket level.

    I don't think you know what your talking about. On the edge just move the metal piece between the heat exchangers up and down the ash will fall down.

  • @joecampbell4579
    @joecampbell457910 ай бұрын

    That will not get heat exchanger clean enough to reduce the stack temp. If you have a high stack temp you are blowing BTU’S straight out the chimney and the only way to get the stack temp into a range that is acceptable is to remove the turbulators and scrub.

    Hey Jesse thanks for the comment. The parts are actually really affordable because they are not proprietary to Polar like several of the other manufacturers. Both Heat Master and Central Boiler use proprietary electronics. Everything on a Polar can be purchased at any H-VAC supply shop and most of it is Honeywell.

    Hi thanks for the video (I'm one of your subscribers now). I'm considering a Polar G3. Do you still recommend them? I like them over others I've looked at (Heatmaster G4000 and Froling S3) since they're simpler without all the computers and electronics, but are still gasification units and burn less wood (and qualify for the tax credit). Why did you go with a Polar? The heatmaster and froling are good units, but seem very complicated. It seems to me these are less complicated, but somehow still perform well.

  • @joecampbell4579
    @joecampbell45792 жыл бұрын

    Hey Jeff thanks for the reply and add. I think you kind of answered your question for me. Really it was the simple design and made the most sense. I’m a fan of the Froling out side of the fact that you need thermal storage and that didn’t work in my case. The next closest thing was the Polar and I have a few friends that have them and all had good things to say. Honestly just like the design and how it runs. If I could do it all over again I would buy the Polar still.

    yes a great design for the refractory BUT everyone I know that has one they only lasted if your lucky about 5 years and then start leaking. Mine lasted 10 by the grace of God I'm told and now mine is leaking as well...now what?? Left to spend at least another 15k to replace it.... not ideal

    @joecampbell45792 жыл бұрын

    This is the first time I have heard of any of them lasting less than 5 years. I have three other close friends with Polars that are also carbon steel, one has been running for 8 years, one 6, and me and another at 5 with no issues at all. That is too bad to hear about yours, why not just weld it up and keep running it? The new ones are also stainless, I will go this way if my fails or I can sell mine for good price.

    I had bought mine in 2012...shortly there after I had family and friends interested in it so I recommended it to them...My aunt got a little over a year out of there Furnace... started leaking. Another family member is on his second one because of leaking issues and is going to change his up because he is so scared it will start leaking in the middle of winter and leave him in a bad situation..There is at least 3 or 4 other people in the community I know of with the same problem...It's disappointing for me because I just loved the whole aspect of that Furnace and only burned about 9 cords this year.

  • @joecampbell4579
    @joecampbell45792 жыл бұрын

    @@jamieprince2514 yeah, I feel they are the best designed furnace on the market still. I do think that the carbon steel was not the best choice of materials for sure. It’s good to see they changed that going forward. You can have a 304 stainless firebox welded into your carbon steel water jacket. If I don’t upgrade or go bigger that is the route I will take.

    Awesome boiler. I have an econoburn 200. Works great but is no where near the engineering of the polar. How much is that unit. I paid 10,000 for the econoburn 200. I had to build an exhaust fan system for loading. My boiler is in my basement and loading was pretty smokey. Can the polar be installed in a basement? Thanks for the vid. If I had seen this when I was doing my research to buy a boiler. I would have had to call them for sure.

    Polar is one of the only outdoor wood furnaces that is UL listed for indoor use. I bought mine almost 5 years ago now and it was comparable price wise with the rest of the gasification systems on the market then, I dont sell them so I can comment on current pricing. I do know that the gassers are more expensive than the traditional wood burners. Thanks for watching the video, best wishes!

  • @joecampbell4579
    @joecampbell45792 жыл бұрын

    It does lift quite well given the size, however I would expect it to curl more than it lifts. The rates numbers for curl are around 1100 pounds and 700 for lift. This tractor will lift way more than it will curl which is frustrating. My Kubota BX was the opposite.

    I just bought a classic edge 560 over a heat master g4000 because of the heat exchanger difference. For me, I felt like scraping the central’s heat exchanger by hand once a week was no more work than having to take the roof off of a heat master, to get the turbulators out, to brush the heat exchanger tubes.

  • @joecampbell4579

    The heat exchanger on the Polar only has to brushed clean at the end of the season otherwise you can just turn the handle on the side. It is around the same amount of work to clean the central boiler weekly as the Polar annually.
