    I remember before the diagnosis ( I have hyper) I was so demotivated work. I thought quitting my job woulf fix it and so I did. I was hired but the demotivation came back. When I was diagnosed and started taking meds, my motivation to work came back. All the the things that I’ve felt, it was just because of hyper. It messes up our emotions, ey?

    thanks for this, i did find out via research that hypo or other related thyroid problems mess with our emotions too so really trying hard to change lifestyle so it wont affect me much 🥺

    @@cris09876 hello, since i don't go out much I don't really know of places here in the city aside from IT Park or Lahug area. Talamban is common for people who WFH but wanna be near malls/markets. I hope that helps! 😊

    i heard bitter cucumber is because it didn't get watered enough? it's good for you at least🤣😂. barking dog is the worst. have one out my window also but only a few times a day they put it outside and it barks the whole time. how can owners ignore that? so inconsiderate. did they check you for autoimmune thyroid? i have that, it's Hashimoto's thyroiditis. it made me extremely tired for so many years. my sister just had regular hypothyroid and she wasn't as exhausted. i hope you can be checked for thyroid antibodies because if you have Hashimotos it's good to know about it. the body is constantly attacking it's own thryoid and it will destroy it over time. i hope you feel better now it is cooling down in your area. having a stressful job is miserable. only you can know when you cannot take it anymore. i'm sure you tried everything! i hope something better comes soon!!! getting the A/C was your reward for sticking with the job!!

    totally agree about those kind of dog owners 😂i will have a follow-up check up soon so i will bring up the autoimmune thyroid, thank you for that..indeed the AC is definitely a reward, haha i wonder what I will purchase next for sticking even longer 😅

    I would say, make a plan before leaving your job. That includes having a job already lined up to replace it. Bills will keep on coming and you need to pay them. Otherwise, have an emergency fund that would cover your bills for however, you think you would be out of a job. Also, be confident even though you feel like a newbie. Half of the battle is already lost if you think that you aren't capable of doing something. People say, "fake it til you make it." Also, in addition to an AC, I have fans all around. Hehehe...I'm not looking forward to the summer here. I would rather have winter! Good luck!

    thank you 🥹, I've been looking up jobs for a while now and the job market is definitely not doing well, i dont think my emergency fund will cover me for long, resigning was definitely due to high emotions but i look forward to the day when im ready to leave 😅 I am not sure if I would like winter more as I get cold easily as well, I think I would be more of a warm but breezy kind of weather! 😅

    Hello, Cheng, maybe you already know this, but here's a little tip to cool down at bedtime: make a washcloth wet. Wring it out, then wipe your face, hands, arms, legs with the damp cloth. Do not dry off. Go to bed and let the fan blow on you. You will feel cool enough to fall asleep. I hope you will find a job you like soon. Take care. ☺

    That neighbor, I would have said, "Mutrabaho pa ko ugma. Pakatulga na intawn ko." Hehehe. Think of those purchases as long term investments for your health. I would add an air fryer. Other than my microwave and toaster, that's the next thing that I use frequently.

    I'm months late, but some tips to keep your place smelling fresh if you don't have any spray air fresheners/candles, etc: Freeze all your Lemon/Orange peels and you can boil them on the stove to freshen the air. You can boil Cinnamon sticks by itself to freshen the air OR you can do a mixture like Cinnamon sticks/ginger/orange & lemon peels. Also Candles, plug-in Air fresheners, or a Humidifier & essential oils are great to stock up on. God bless! 🙏🏽✝️

    Hi Cheng. Nice to see your new update. I think Cheng you can search on Google what food to avoid for hypothyroidism. You may need to reduce your gluten, fried foods, processed foods, cabbage, soy, kale, bok choy, Brussels sprouts, and some other foods intake.

    sorry to hear you are down but as one having thyroid disease i think i know what you mean. i've heard that eating less sugar can help and i did try lower carb and i do think i felt more energy without fruits and sugary drinks or snacking. more eggs, protein to help repair. you still have a chance to heal your thyroid to normal function. after a bit on the medication you can't really. i've had hypothyroid about 25 years. i hope you can try to get some help with changing your diet to see if you can heal the thyroid. not only does it make you tired, but it messes with your moods and thinking too. best to you to finding relief.

    I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, too. Genetics thing, since my dad, grandma and aunt had it. Feeling much better since I am taking medications. Like you, I thought I was just lazy, too and I blame “getting older” why I feel so unmotivated. Now, I’m feeling much better, though my TSH and FT4 arent perfect yet. Aiming for low carb diet. I’m starting with rice. I havent eaten rice for two weeks now and I’ll see if it’s effective once I get my blood test

    oh wow! That's exactly how i felt, just kept blaming myself for being lazy although my fatigue doesn't feel normal anymore. Hope the medications continue to help with your day to day and better lab results ❤️ im also trying low carb, hope we find a diet that's sustainable 😅😊

    i'm so glad you got your thyroid medication. i have that disease too and until you get it you don't even know what a thyroid is. its so important to feeling normal again. glad things are going so much better for you. i'm hoping i'll be able to get into a better situation this year!!!

    Hi Cheng. Glad you went to see a doctor finally. I also write goals for myself. As a teacher, I suggest you make your goals SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time-bound). For example, instead of saying, "Exercise regularly," think "Take a walk for 20 minutes 3x a week." What is your baseline data? If you don't exercise even once a week, make it something that you will be able to do. You can't go from 0 to 30, take baby steps. That way, you won't feel like a failure if you haven't done it and then you don't work on the goal anymore. As a SPED teacher, I find that having fewer goals is more realistic. Just have 2 - 3 that you can really work on instead of 5. There's only so much you can do in a day. You don't want to get burnt out. Keep on working on your goals and it's never too late to switch them up so you can achieve the goal that you set for yourself.
