Its to the point where when i returned to school for a career change degree... I didnt tell her because i dont feel like being criticized for not getting a perfect score. I think a part of your morale issue came from the lack of sun during the winter which has an impact on the balance of vitamins in the body, I strongly recommend to take some Vitamin D during winter. I have a white skin (which help the body to synthetize Vit D) and I need to do it every years if I don't wan't to feel tired and have my morale going down at the end of winter. Maybe you knew it and be prepared but I wanted to tell it as a tip for everybody because it help a lot. peace

You probably already know this, since it's been 6 months. People with dark skin are more prone to "atopic dermatosis" because they are more sensible to cold, dry air. Additionally, inflammation can be diagnosed at a later stage since the reddish color change is seen later on a dark skin, pretty much only when it starts to itch. Once the inflammation has been treated, you must protect your exposed skin with suitable fatty products and ointments (ask about “atopic skin” at the pharmacy). Probably your hair as well. Also be careful about exposure to the sun, because after a few months in "the dark", you risk being less protected against sunburn (even if more protected than a fair-skinned person). Added to that, in the northern hemisphere, the sun is closer to Earth in winter, so when it starts to rise in height (less atmosphere to radiate through), there is a window of time where it is still quite close and about to be quite high: springtime is a perfect moment to get burns, and we call it "le premier soleil" (de l'année). In case this happens, rest assured: after a few days of exposure, you will regain your original complexion and protection.

Ive grown up traveleing and my miliatry dad who brought us everywhere always said "you are not home, these are not our rules. We are in someone elses home and we follow their rules while rememberinf and respecting our own boundries. So what does that mean? It means we are polite guests who TRY to use the languge in these peoples home. If were good guests, they will be good hosts." And i take that everywhere. If im not in my home, aka countey, i always try to learn some key phrases in the language, i alwags ASK waiters if they have the time to help me order in their language. And i always google manners and customes about the country i visit so i dont accidentally bring my, idk, my concept of correct or normal to another cultures space. And lasty, i dont conplain publicly. Time/schedules/culture/mannars/education/accessibility etc, those are complaints for in the hotel or at home.❤

I was raised as a lot of french people with the idea that someone who is always late can't be trusted with important things. It is a matter of respect of the other because when you take an appointement with somebody we always keep in my that the other people is taking from his time for us, so being there at the right time is a way to be respectful and to thank the other for that. About racism. France is not a racist country, here it's more about social class. If you come from the suburbs, you can be blond with blue eyes, it will be hard for you. Because of the reputation made by our medias about those zones. But if you are student, middle class or rich, dont worry in France. Discriminations here, are more about where you live than which color you have. Also the way you speak and your style. If you look hiphop, yeah you'll be disciminate. If we met a woman or a man like you, of course we will be more friendly with you ;) I am arab. I am from the proletariat, but my family aways teach me to look clean and to speak well. In my life, I had three control of police and I never been discriminated. I love my country, France is fair (except in social class fight ;) ). PS : many companies prefers hire foreigners from Africa or Maghreb than arabs or blacks from suburbs. So we are not talking about racism as you can see. It's something else.

Hi Angie ! I visited Carcassonne some years ago with my wife and children. There was medieval shows taking place between the two rampart walls of the city, with jousting and sword fighting in full armor : it was amazing ! Historically, the city started as a fortified roman settlement, so it's more than 2000 years old ! The fortifications were destroyed/modified/rebuilt countless times and nowadays you can still see the different periods showing through their distinctive architecture. The towers with almost flat roofs made of reddish tiles and rounded windows are the remnants of the roman fortifications. In the Nineteenth century, the Medieval City was in really bad shape and had been completely abandonned for a long time. It was to be demolished and the stones used for surrounding buildings and constructions. Only through the determination of a few people and a concrete preservation end reconstruction project by the architect Violet le Duc was the city not only saved from destruction but rebuilt, and each part was rebuilt in the style of its time of construction (with some errors and discrepencies here and there but better that than destrucion and oblivion of such an amazing testimony of our History !). The Count's Castle (Château Comtal) end the Basilica are really must sees : what you showed in the video was mainly the fortified city and not the Castle in itself ;) There are really lots of historical events and facts around this city : Google and Wikipedia are your friends ! And maybe you landlords if they are native of the region ;) Thanks for the video and enjoy your life here !

@@angiemuthoni My pleasure ;) and yes, if you have an occasion to watch one of these medieval shows, jump right into it ! There are many in France. In fact there are many medieval towns and villages that organize such events (markets, festivals, joust and swordfighting and so on). All the riders, knights and sword (or axe, or flail) fighters were in armor with their full heraldry and blasons on them and there were women among them, so you can definitely say that women could have been knights and stand their ground to men (obviously their fighting style would have been different but not inferior is what I mean ;) )
