  Too bad the project was canceled cause it wasn't making great progress as everyone was too laid back with a lack of animation pipeline experience, and eventually the funds ran out.

  @7:38 I'd be interrested to see what it would look like if the brush strokes would be slowed down to the motion and speed of referencing blood circulating through veins. Amazing how the shots look you guys.... just mind blowing visuals! But the one thing I envy most is the atmosphere you have in the studio/team.

  This is absolutely the best short film I have ever watched. Not only the deep story, blender techniques are perfectly combined to create the best graphics. The story is inspirational, show how far reach the love

  As sad as it is that such an amazing art style didn't manage to see its completion in the form of a shortfilm, it's beautiful and important to pay homage to all the artists and developers who worked on this by releasing these videos. I hope that there will be chances of somehow picking this project again in the future, or that all the creative and technical effort put into this will be used as fuel for a new project! Congrats to all the people who wroked on this!

  If the project has been canceled, why do both this video and the Blender Studio website say otherwise? The website even states the project is "In Development." Could we have a clear statement on the status of the project? I also really hope you'll release training on the brush and painterly texturing, as well as the lighting techniques and workflow used for this project.

  I believe it's that the animation as a whole has been cancelled, and that they're only doing a subset of the shots to save time. The last production log intro explains this better.

  I was just looking yesterday if there was any updates, I'm excited to see the finished film, the brush stroke technology is spectacular. Just that brief shot of the water's surface was breathtaking, everything looks handcrafted & crisp. Excellent works as always!
