    So you think Julian isn't natty then?

  • @angrygoldfish
    @angrygoldfish21 күн бұрын

    He looks natural to me. I don't see any signs of PED use other than the fact that he's big and lean. While we're all entitled to an opinion, I don't consider 'big and lean' an immediate reason to disqualify someone from being natty, especially given that he's only 62kg. His traps and shoulders aren't overblown, no skin issues, no puffiness, normal nipples, no absurd strength numbers (his RDL is only slightly better than mine and I'm nowhere near his level of advancement). He's also bulked pretty hard which is usually what's necessary for a natty to grow. He hasn't gained huge amounts of muscle while staying lean. Since 2022 he hasn't gained a ton of size.

    Great point on the types of ego lifting, and finding that middle ground that works for you. 👍 Some overly attach their ego to the amount of weight on the bar, while others overly attach their ego to how good their technique looks. I know GVS has also touched on this.

    Aj, I still wonder how important time under tension is versus the total amount of reps. 10 reps with a slow concentric, 2-3 sec hold and slowl eccentric (for a total amount of 1-1¼ minute for example, where one rep equals arount 6-8 sec) *versus* 10 quicker reps with a heavier weight and a little bit of body englisch. total time around 40 sec, lets say.

  • @AJMorrisFitness
    @AJMorrisFitness2 ай бұрын

    Hey mate, don't overthink this too much, focus on lifting with form that feels safe for you, if you use a bit faster tempo it's probably more appropriate for higher rep ranges as you'll just be safer, lower rep ranges / higher loads, focus on more control here

    Hello Aj, that last movement - are you trying to emulate more for a high bar row or pulldowns? Just curious as looks like leaning your torso back you would be driving your elbows back rather than down to the pocket of your hip? Is this still effective for lats? Thanks mate

  • @AJMorrisFitness
    @AJMorrisFitness2 ай бұрын

    Hey mate, this is more of an upper back pulldown, but you'll still get some lats from it (mostly upper lats)

    I have got the FT book, but I do find it complicated. I am sort of getting to grips with it, and I think it's a great system, but its complexity prevents it being more popular, I think. It is a shame because, as I say, a great system.

    Ive seen a lot of people break themselves working out. They twist and break their soul all in the name of obtaining strength the way the world has promised to them will work. Eventually they keep destroying themselves because they have nothing inside to protect, they are filled with confusion and their only happiness comes from their ego and pride in their own pain and hell they have created in themselves. The result is a muscle bound empty vessel of person, no spiritual direction or emotional intelligence, broken inside. God first
