The man, myth, legend!!
Just signed up for NBBWW. Love the look of the site and looking forward to jumping in and learning. 45 years old and been training 28 years but don't mind learning more and more. Especially off the guys who have been there and done that.

Good to see someone else using the floor for cable laterals. I do the cuffed laterals and y raises, or crucifix laterals as I call them (JP term I think), on the floor for the same reasons. Either the benches are taken or I can't be arsed to drag one over to the cable stack! I always get funny looks when I do them but I actually prefer using the floor now. Sounds daft but I feel like there's more stability because my whole body is braced on the floor.

Glad you like them too Ryan, I agree! Feel more stable myself on the floor than with a Bench
He’s back .
No way! He is back
Welcome back!
The return 🎉

Appreciate this matey
yeeeeeeeeeees, I missed this a lot!!
Binged watch all your stuff last few months and also a member on site.. switched from ppl to rest either side of Legs and started logging. My numbers been climbing nicely. Log book is starting to scare me now some days.. I still have the mind set tho not doing enough. I know that's mental to see when progressing better then use to but the lack of pump training is big mental aspect and I think I look worse now then what I did prior..

Immense, really cool to hear that. If your bodyweight is progressing and lifts are too with standardised form, you are absolutely growing. If you're gaining weight, body fat will hide muscle, so you can sometimes look smaller as you push up. Looking worse than you did on high volume training is likely because you have less inflammation between sessions, acute inflammation isn't growth, it's just momentary, keep doing what you're doing and it will pay off
Yess🤩
so happy to see u here again !!! Please continue posting more content here and do not stop 😠

Will definitely consider this!
Have you considered maybe on the Smith press, just adding a 0.5kg a side. You could match the reps no doubt and it's like a little win. I know personally if I don't think I can take an extra rep one week I will stick on the minimal and match it just to take a really small win, which is always a good mental boost.

Couldn't agree more mate, fractional progressions on pressing is something I definitely need to go down the route of! Right now when pulling down I'm 'kinda content' with matching, but next push up I'll for sure take the little super natty biscuits

Just telling the spotter you have the weight, so they don't help you
I love when you made fun of the “do what you enjoy camp” because it feels like 9/10 times someone can’t come up with a rational argument for or against a certain approach will go “WELL ADHERENCE IS DA BEST” well no shit lolol
@AJMorrisFitness
Жыл бұрын
Never mean to cause offence but I must admit I agree, the do what you enjoy approach for sure is applicable to general population but with serious athletes it's just not the case

Another talks more than trains. Form not too good and needs a lot of filling out to get done. Genetics and structure the issue

Just trying to help people John, I don't know what you mean by 'get done' but I'm more than aware I need to continue to grow, that's what I've been doing since 2014 and I've added plenty of stage weight in the process :) Easy to talk behind a KZread comment, harder to actually get after it in real life

@@AJMorrisFitness Well, my first year of training I looked like a pro. No desire to compete. Ten years almost for yourself. Most start and retire in or under that time. Keep filling out. Maybe another 10. As far as helping others, my advice is train without distractions or video just cause one likes hearing oneself talk. Energy wasted. And take advice from someone who looks the part. 100,000 guys like this posting videos. One or 2 look impressive and have the knowledge. Others are pipedreamers who will never make a name. And the most impressive don't waste time with their home movies. Embarrassing. Like to help people also. So given it real
