Great video. Late with the comment, but i think that peak you spotted was Pendle Hill. 13 years ago i used to cycle to work along the Clapham-Austwick dirt road you briefly walked on (live in Ingleton and worked in a quarry just the other side of Wharfe). Good times. Thanks for the memories.

Hello again! Just found your walking series on my TV - via the Rabbit Ings video. Funny thing - I used to live next to there in Royston untill 1988. Rabbit Ings itself was a huge 'slag heap' for the old pit and Royston drift mine that came after and maybe the coke works over the road too (one building remains - rest now gone). The pit stack was great place for fun as a ten year old... those railway lines too there used to be 4 tracks- they used to carry coal and passengers. Not sure why the internet walk you had took you along the canal first... that part of the canal is probably the least scenic as its next to the houses. Its the middle bit, the two parts at either side are nicer, wider . The "muggers bridge" is pretty grim but beleive it or not a house used to be at the other side of that bridge until the mid 1980s - There was sewarage works at the other side of the lines and the house belonged to the water board and was occupied by a sort of warden of the sewage works. Rabbit ings was converted to a country park about a decade ago...... and now has a lot wildlife....... there's a lake with two swans and 4 signets if you follow the bottom path to the left from the car park . Speak soon!

Mate, i was in my element on this walk, i loved being further afield, somewhere with something exciting to see. So yeah, i was very happy and dare i say it...lucky...lucky i didnt sprain an ankle or fall down, it was crazy at times, i couldnt help but laugh at myself but it is a miracle i didnt do harm to myself 😂 though my feet and knees were killing me at the end of it 😩.
