Kapil isn't that good at Mathematics. If 99.9999999% of the world don't ever come to your work then that means only about 8 people do. That just isn't true, it's a lot more than 8 people. Next time just say 99.9% or 99.99% to be more honest. I know he just meant a small fraction of the world comes to his work but exaggerating like that isn't as authentic.

Life is a mix of heaven and hell. I have my own goals and strategies and rules I live by to maximise my living experiences and I try to be be as strong as possible when hell turns up or nudges me. That’s a balanced thinking mind on life. This guy lacks balanced thought it seems to me. Which isn’t optimal in my opinion.

Life need not to be experienced in a state of suffering just because. Everyone can question this idea and see that one can also enjoy life. Is it totally possible to enjoy the experience of life itself without blindsided by certain truths. Truths such as the freedom that comes when one creates from a state of non attachment to the hope of success or the fear of failure. Or simply the fact that we all end in the same place. All in all, always refreshing to hear someone not sugar coat things.

Kapil was spot on with the whole people over the internet saying they're into trading and not giving the full story and struggling for money at the same time. So many of them will try to defend against it by saying "oh it's not just money" or "money is a poor metric" and then at the end of you can see them talking about how to make more money money or to help preserve/growth wealth over time lmao. It really is all BS and nonsense from them. Sure it may be more nuanced but Kapil's point is the main overlying metric absolutely is money, that isn't a partial answer, it's just the truth.

Be better if he'd give the questioners more time to speak. Often the questions are more interesting than the answers. Mixed bag this guy, sometimes good insights, sometimes pointless 5min rants about how dumb everyone is Why does "the truth" make a person so annoyed with everyone else?

From the truth that he is speaking from, he is able to get the information from the some things that is hearing. His role is to say something which leads to something truthful and honest. Not not answering in the form of recommendations or intellectual explanations.

You think you know what are all ways a human can be truthful to his own nature. Annoyance and anger is very human ways to behave with each other to communicate their internal state. The truth might be more in focusing on 'why we are getting annoyed or angry' - not try to cure it, and forcefully stop it.

Props to Q2 - I’ve seen your other interviews and know you’re a real one. Kapil was right to have the skepticism but that’s because of the statistical reality that very few ever make it in that line of business. I know it can be lonely when you have success in trading as so few can relate. I’m not sure what your question was to him but with respect to the metrics / indicators of success it’s *not* just money. In can be if you want, many people do but it’s completely arbitrary. A large part of the challenge of trading is imposing *your own* structure on a fundamentally chaotic/unstructured process (“the market”). Beyond just returns, you’ll obviously have metrics like consistency, average risk:reward etc. money is a poor metric because it doesn’t reflect the *risk* that was taken in order to achieve that reward. The success of one trade means nothing in the long run. Trading is fundamentally a practice in risk management. Managing your exposures to risks to achieve a set of objectives. Don’t just trade a single account or strategy. Bucket them. I know you’ve been making money day trading with FX, I would recommend/suggest diversifying out some of the cash from that into longer term trading investment portfolios (ideally quant systematic) to help preserve/growth wealth over time in a set of diverse asset classes (e.g. commodities, equities, bonds, precious metals etc). Anyway, that’s just me rambling on. Wanted to put that out there because there’s definitely more nuance to trading than “it’s just making money” - that’s a partial answer imo
