  At the end, who gains the most? Louise, she got Philip (still with headache), the money, the estate, and kids and wonderful rich life. I also think Louise was the ultimate manipulator. Initially, it looks like Rachel is the manipulator, and she did manipulate Philip like every women who is trying to survive during those days. Rachel was poor, and may have been sending money back to her family and also used Philip. If you replay this clip, Louise is the ultimate manipulator and she is the one who keeps coming with new info for Philip to be manipulated. Louise got jealous and ultimately, she got rid of her competition by manipulating Philip.
