I think there’s a bug where merging using grenadiers cancels their healing and sends it straight on cool-down. That might be why he didn’t merge into the pgrens at 14:50

grant tanks need a heavy nerf... they wield so much power, and pumping them out like reakly did is more or less an auto win with a support loiter or even without any support. They need to cost a LOT more population imo. panther's struggle against 2 grants head on...

Grants definitely feel like they do too much for their cost at the moment. They are too efficient basically.

@@Propagandacast agree that Grants are overtuned, but bunkerbuster had bigger problems. the trouble started when he lost 4/5 men on one pg and 3/4 on an mg in exchange for 1/5 on the footguard. That's a difference of 150+ manpower right there. Then he put all of his remaining manpower edge (from the battlegroup) into AT gun spam (3xPak = 780 mp), instead of another heavy infantry unit to buffer the footguards and indirect fire to deal with brit team weapons and the tactical needs of downtown Semois. there was also the charging of a perfectly good pg squad into two grants, an infantry section, and mortar fire, resulting in the loss of 340 mp. So, yes, Grants are overtuned, but the waste of around 1000 mp in the late game was a bigger factor in the outcome of the battle.

@@GrandsonofRoyalOak Thats also the issue I saw, it was even kind of painful to watch him going for a second AT Gun at all. In my opinion bunkerbuster would have saved the win quite easily by going for another Infantry Unit instead of an third AT Gun at least. By the way great work as always @ Propagandacast, really appreciate your constant affords!

Rangers feel like dealing CoH2 level damage while still being tanky like CoH3 infantry in general. I so hope they get nerfed next patch/the infantry rework makes it so they aren't as oppressive.

Yeah, Rangers do waay too much, especially when you factor in how tough they are to counter and kinda break infantry around them.

This game is so boring right now. .. High rank games are always the same: USF: Rilfeblob with BAR into rangers and Howies (suprisingly we didnt see imba F-company this game) UKF: Sappers and Dingos into Humber and Mathilda; Grant spam in late game and chaches for almost free Axis play has absolutely no chance to perform at the moment. Its all about reacting to Allies: Flak HT for DAK to hold the line vs Riflemen roflstomp; Brummbär for Wehrmacht as well. And with a bit of luck, you can win the fight. But mostly you dont. And If you want to play offmeta: good bye! I am really looking forward to the next update....

Jokes on point, the Swedish cotton candy and Brad Pitt complaining about white phosphorous was golden 😂 Watching that FeriG, Zulu match made me try out heavy tier 1 builds more and they’re very enjoyable and quite effective. I tried to just start thinking about the officer quarters upgrades as combat upgrades like BARs rather than “just” a veterancy upgrade. Feels very worth the fuel. Cheers for the great casts and the build inspiration that comes from them

I wish you casted game vs Alpenwell, coz it was similar, but he went for 2 bikes Bersa strat, with PZ III spam. To bad that it happend a days later and update broke it :P

Unfortunately, it is a very common scenario: if you make even one mistake, you will not come back anymore. CoH2 provides more opportunities for a comeback in the same situations.

Not really. CoH2 forced "comebacks". Creating long and drawn out matches where nothing happened for a fair bit. If you'd seen one Coh2 match. You'd basically seen them all.

This was a really intense, exciting one. Awesome seeing high level players duking it out and a really interesting build order from Zulu which has inspired me to try some new strats. Would have been nice to see rapid fortifications used to place a med bunker in his base at no micro cost and maybe even a bunker behind the central building just for a frontline call the reserves. I've yet to see anyone make use of these abilities at a high level

I think this is the 3rd match I've seen JefG use that chaffe/E8 swarm. It can be really devastating, so it's cool to see it being countered so well here with shreks and mines EVERYWHERE. Good reminder that mines win games. Thanks for casting it!

I'll have to agree with the feeling of Reakly at 18:30 'ish. It's ridiculous how you can add a speed buff on top of another speed buff. I feel if it is 50% and then a 30%, to make it balanced the formula would have to be speed = base*(1+mod1*mod2). Instead of speed = base*(1+mod1)*(1+mod2). That way you don't have racecar riflemen or god forbid rangers closing in on the sniper and having a (for me) undeserved kill. Edit: the first formula is too harsh punishing the bonus. Instead just keep the biggest buff for its duration, then let run the slower buff its duration. But not both at the same time.

I agree with your second idea. Stacking speed buffs is difficult to balance and doesn’t have a reasonable counter play relative to how easy it is to do for USF
