Why two kicker back lights, don’t you risk light bouncing back causing unpleasant texture, why not single back light and switch other one to hair light?

Hello Micheal good content I have a question I noticed that you're using the Elinchrom ELB 1200 strobes where you using the same "Heads" with the pack or mixed them up? Cheers! 🥃

Can you mention what size modifier you used for your key light? Also, what I’d the size of your reflector? Sorry for throwing in do many questions at once, but I’ve got one more: what are your thoughts on trying to pull this off with speed lights instead of strobes?

Thanks so much I needed to know what the difference in gels were for a project of mine. This really helps. But if you don't mind me asking if you were to shoot a film production and you wanted to make a soft ambiance lighting what kind of lighting would you use? Even if you don't shoot things like that I would like to know you're opinion.

Watched this a few times and like it. Using that light setup the lower half of the models and their fashions are not adequately lit in several of the shots. I presume you correct that in post and would appreciate knowing how you do it, because I've often had similar lighting issues, unless using a 3rd light or reflector to get more light down low. I'm never totally satisfied with resolving it in post so would like to know how you treat it. Thanks.

You can move the lights farther back. Inverse square law. And it will even it out.

Nice hack Michael. I've been struggling with focusing since i moved from DSLR to mirrorless world and this seems like a solution. I loved a IR focus beam on DSLR, however it doesn't work on mirrorless... I found using fast lenses like F1,4 or F1,8 helps a lot, but that isn't always an option. This little light seems to solve it when I need it on the spot. Thanks for the tip! Much appreciated.

I loved the red IR beam. At wedding receptions it was like the movie predator. I could just point the camera in someone’s direction without looking thru the viewfinder and still get the shot because I could see where the beam was landing.
