    8:48 I know something that could be useful for this problem. Using less wide solder wick sucks exponentially more faster than wide ones. I think 1.5mm wide solder wick is my sweet spot. Branded wicks are consistently wide but unbranded generic ones aren't, they tent to be wider... so maybe ordering 1mm? Yeah, It runs out very quickly, but it sucks instantly fast and you avoid pushing heat for long periods of time. Heck, even beginners with trash soldering irons or trashy tips with enough power to melt the solder can make 1.5mm and 1mm wick suck

    I had same issue.. After reballing HDMI port not working. Repair tech said HDMI port's IC chip is permanently damaged. Is it so?.. so now i have only AV port. Also i can see yellow light few times while turning on/off. What to do?.. I have CFW 4.88

    If you have CFW, you can install advanced PS3 tools and extract the syscon error log to a USB drive, and check what is causing YLOD.

    That a Keychron K12? If so, I have the same keyboard! It's nice, yeah? Just got a Guncon 1, two Guncon 2s and two Guncon 3s, soooo hyped. Mainly gonna use them for Mister FPGA lightgun games, like PS1 titles, but the Guncon 3 should be great for Tume Crisis 4, Razing Storm and Dreadstorm Pirates. 0w0

    I have a CECHB01. Strange issue. It reads music CD and PS2 DVD format games effortlessly, but nothing else. Is that a dying laser or something else?

    I've got a CECHA01 that I bought brand new. Every time after playing a game I let the system cool off and power down on its own. Still no problems almost 20 years later. Only changed the thermal paste a couple times and cleaned dust. Great video. Can't wait for it to break so I can do this.

    Question, what do you think is most likely the problem for my ps3 if it turns on completely fine but when I load a demanding game like final fantasy 13 and it shuts off after like 2 minutes of gameplay. The red light doesn’t show anymore after it shuts itself off either. Until I take out the power and plug it back in. Thanks

    I am about to replace the drive, but didn't understand the FAT32 USB drive and what is that use for? Does the FAT32 USB drive comes with the Blu-ray Drive KEM-410? or I need to purchase it separately?

    yes sir, playstation home is a value game these days. the data behind it within the internal HDD helps restore the game. i'm apart of a small group actively preserving it's data and have restored it into an online state. we need more japanese ps3s with the icon still intact.

    Hi, I recently came across your channel and found it very helpful/enjoyable to watch. I’ve been collecting PS3 games for half a year now (acquired almost 70 now) and always used a superslim to play them. Recently I came across an offer I couldn’t pass up. I’ve bought myself a CECHC03 which was supposed to work flawlessly and it costed me only 100$ with a bunch of accessories. Unfortunately I have to admit I’ve been scammed. The console powers up normally (doesn’t have any GLOD or YLOD), but it freezes upon opening any digitally owned game and doesn’t read any of my discs. I have seen that this topic was covered on ifixit but there is no definite answers. The Cell and RSX don’t get very hot but the PSU does and after about 5min. its fan spins up to 100% and is deafeningly loud. The console is in rough condition and it’s been tampered with many times by the previous owners. I’ve lost contact with the seller as he wouldn’t admit to the console fault. Any idea of what could be at fault?

  • @hardwarerepair200
    @hardwarerepair20015 күн бұрын

    When it freezes, do you see any artifacts on the graphics? You case seems to be difficult to troubleshoot, but I would guess the RSX is dying and you probably need to replace it with a 65 or 40nm one

  • @mammal1173
    @mammal117314 күн бұрын

    @@hardwarerepair200 No, it’s just a black screen… but after doing a bunch of troubleshooting I found out something interesting. In summary the console works when I switch its output to any resolution besides 1080p. When in 1080p the console freezes upon opening any app/game. When in 720p for ex. the console reads games and opens the digitally owned ones normally. To me it seams like a failing RSX, but I’m unfortunately incapable of any BGA rework. I will stick to the lower resolutions for now and try to do a delid of the RSX (I’m to scared to do the cell for now).

    Any chance anyone havs an idea about this- I can insert disc, it spins it doesnt read. . I replaced laser drive, but exact same issue. So how can i find out how to find the issue. Is it a connection problem or something else. ? I also replaced the motherboard because the previous board was unrepairable. This is where i started getting issues with disc drive. Did i get another faulty board? :/ .. I know its not much of an explaination but maybe someone here will know.

    This isn't a "TTL chip" TTL means "transistor-transistor level" it's a voltage standard (+5V), the chip itself is a common UART to USB transceiver. It using serial communication.

Fangen Sie mit 100 Grad an für 90 Sek, dann 150 Grad 60 Sek, dann 190 Grad 30 Sekunden , dann 235 Grad 60 Sek. Maximal sollten es 300 Sekunden sein . Viel Spaß .👍 Die Heizplatte stellen Sie auf 120 Grad ein.
