The thing with John is... He was always stronger than what he needed to be back in the days...He didn't try to push his limits... Just imagine if there was a Levan to challenge him... We would have a different John in that lean 90 kg guy... 🙏🏻

Awesome info. Thanks. I”m strengthening my hands because at 74 yrs. I’ve developed carpal tunnel syndrome and all they wan to do is to do is carpel release surgery. Bullshit to that I’ve been strengthen my hands and avoiding the knife. On my left hand it is the exact same muscle you’ve focused on at the bottom of the thumb that has atrophied. Thanks again.

Hi, I'm new to arm wrestling. At practice when attempting my riser, the other guys say it feels like I'm pulling more straight back (back pressure) and not actually rising upwards. But when I try to vector upwards towards my face, my elbow comes off the pad. However, when the pro I'm practicing with rises, it does not. I dont get it. FYI I have a shorter forearm and am shorter than everyone at practice. Is that why? I'll also dip down a bit and do more of a hammer curl but the guys say once again that I'm not getting any height. So confused. Thanks for any tips

He said in his video to find it within 12 reps (not counting warmup). Nobody is doing 36 singles to find 1rm. Is the 36 because he started doing 3rms in the last year? Either way. I’ve never followed Todd exactly, everyone has their own process to find their 1rm.

One last question tho 😊 Are the weights listed in your Excel sheet referring to the plate weights or the measurements from a crane scale (For exercises performed on a pulley system)?

I assume he got desolated by the Devon vs Levan result against his prediction, which he may assume solidified that he doesn't understand arm wrestling as uniquely deep as he thought he did. The last time he almost quit his channel happened in a similar manner if you remember. He thought he knew more about the game and its training mechanism than most people so he supposedly trained with more efficiency accordingly, but his competitive result didn't seem to back his claims thus he felt very frustrated. Honestly, I can relate to that.

@@clientlee991 May be you are Right But he should not be worried about Devon vs Levan match prediction. It's not a big deal .. His technical knowledge is helping us . I watch almost all youtubers who teaches arm wrestling. But Chris is on another level.

@@360ArtandCraft. Yes, but he seems to be especially sensitive about it since he really took pride in his knowledge as I can feel. Actually, I don't think he is that far off. Although Devon lost pretty badly overall the match is closer than it seems. Most people would disagree but the way I saw it was Devon stopped Levan in the center, not Levan hesitated nor purposefully gave Devon some courtesy right off round 1st('cause if so, Levan could simply resume toprolling him through after the pause as he did to Vitaly). Levan's press gassed out Devon's peak strength(which is different from generic edurance) in his pronation lift link so he couldn't muster up as much force later. He is truly Levan's equal if not a bit better in that one link, yet everything else including peak force endurance Levan is better.

Buddy doesn't understand anatomy. The ulna and humerus is a bony end feel range. It literally locks out anatomically bone on bone. He says even if there is a bone lock then is that such a bad thing? Um yeah because you are no longer arm wrestling. Your oponent is up against a literal wall of bone, he's no longer fighting any mechanical strength resistance while the person using the kings move gets to rest his muscles and wait until his opponent tires out. It's cheating essentially. Its like playing tug of war and then in the middle of the match looping the rope against a metal post so you can rest. And no you aren't locking out the shoulder with external rotation of the humerus so to make that comparison is innacurate. The end range of external rotation of the humerus is limited by tissue stretch not bone on bone. So if you are in external rotation of the humerus you still have to fight or else you will tear your muscle. With the elbow it locks out so the worst that could happen is dislocation and ligament tears. I'd say both are equally terrible injuries but when you are guarding a muscle from stretching too far past its end range, at least you are still arm wrestling. If your elbow is completely locked out, you no longer have to do anything but lever your arm off the table to prevent getting pinned.
