Bill Nesbitt teaches guitar, mandolin and banjo in Little Rock, Arkansas USA. Instructional videos step-by-step, lick-by-lick... but not dumbed down. I teach them the way I play them. Includes links to free tabs and play along audio tracks.

The guitar has always been a mystery to me. Always wished I could play it, but never had enough patience to actually learn how. Love the duelling banjo theme.

Hi Bill - Thanks for this lesson. I downloaded the tab and was trying to make my own backing track with Band in a Box using your chord progression show at the bottom of the page 2. I don't understand the "/" marks is that referencing a measure or a beat? If I use them as measures the chords a drawn out too long for the melody.

Thank you for this video. It’s easy to understand and I like the diagrams for each section. It’s most appreciated. I grew up with this song and I’m going to finally learn it, I hope, I’m sure. This is great!!

Not sure if you still are making videos .......if so I would really like to see how you play SALT CREEK on the banjo. I am learning your mandolin version now. l BTW, your tutorials have been so helpful!

Thnks for this lesson, a well need for many. One thing I want to add is that if you could turn your guitar "facing" the camera showing both hands this would be more advantageous for us newbies.

William you are the man! Thank you so much! Seriously.... it means a lot to me to be able to play this song and now I can because of you and really only because of you I've looked at a bunch of lessons, but then yours came up and voilà! I feel like a banjo player finally lol.

Thank you William. Loved this tune since a kid, but always thought it was way out of my league. But with your excellent guidance and lots of practice. I can for the first time say I am slowly on my way to cracking this great tune.

Thanks for putting this up! It's very easy to follow along, and I appreciate you going step by step slowly. The tabs on screen while you play really helped me figure it out. I'm brand new to the banjo, and this was by far the easiest instructional video to follow I've found. Thank you again!
