baggeeboy

This channel is mostly about my Dreadlocks, other people's dreadlocks, and dreadlocks in general. I post far more infrequently that I would like. But I hope my journey with dreads will inspire others. Hey, even if it infuriates people, at least I'm getting a reaction. No reaction would render this channel as a complete waste of everybody's time. Thanks for watching, subscribing, commenting and sharing.

    My loctician crocheted inside the dread and then also crocheted pieces of hair wrapped around... it's not really what I had envisioned Is there any way to fix this?

    Oh I'm a year late! Loving the undercut it looks so good and I'm sure it helps with the weight issue. I have partials, only 6 months old and I am DYING for length too, (they shrank sooo much) can't wait to get to your stage. Hope life's treating you well!

    If you do decide to cut them again at least don’t cut one of them I don’t know how the way it is since you cut the sides but I would think it would be better it’s all up to you man if you want longer go for it

    You’re dreads are so neat they look amazing! Can I ask how you look after them, I used to crochet but found it was time consuming and making my dreads look unhealthy. I leave them to do their thing now as I’m only a year into my dread journey. How do you get your ends and roots so neat? Mine is just loose hair at the ends and roots.

My 10 year milestone is next year, and I fully relate to your experiences! especially being able to tie them up with themselves, and how blimmen annoying they can be, aye car doors or cutlery drawers HAHA. I hope you and yours are well, thank you for the update, and have a beautiful day too! Kia Ora!!

    DUDE...! (sorry I missed this.. gonna have to put the bell on..!!) well.. I think if you do like to swim alot. ... go ahead and cut them as short as you need them.. but... hang on to the parts you cut.... you might be able to attach them back on when you need to... And.. everyone's hair grows about 6 inches a year... the younger ppl, it even grows faster... Love seeing you again... (ps.. I got a nose ring tooo... only mine is a septum pierce..! Freaks the old ladies my age out..!! HA..! )Jo

    I think its a good idea to cut em to shoulder length cause im sure itll be an experience to grow them back and also swimming is very good for you and if you like swimming you shouldn’t let your hair hinder you exercise and life

    They look so good. Maybe a small trim, but shorter locs are sure more fun. Mine are almost to my waist after four years this month, and I watched your cutting vid and am seriously thinking about cutting mine. I'd miss the paintbrush tips, but it might be fun to have short dreads to play with again. I don't find them weighty at all, except when they're wet. Yours look wonderful. - janet

  • @baggeeboy

    MyDaze yeah, I’ve got one. But my hair is so heavy that it hurts my neck to swim once wet. I think shorter dreads might help this (and will be quicker to dry!)

    I can still see you in my mind in your first video with your crazy blond baby dreads, it's crazy how fast time goes! How is your neck/back pain since you did your undercut? I think you should trim if they are causing you pain or its bothering you that you can't swim, if you think you would miss the look, stick with it for a while and see how you feel. I think the swimming will win over in the end!I think you know the answer but I 100% understand not wanting to trim, you've had them for a very long time, there must be many memories tied up in them! It's what will add more value to your life at the end of the day, do what feels right for you. So happy to see your upload, I hope you and your family are all doing really well and are very happy.x

    Braken Rose thank you so much for your message! It’s this that I’ve missed about not posting so much. 🙏🏼 Since the undercut, I miss the thickness and shear size of my dreads, but only aesthetically. It was the size and weight that was restricting life and since the cut then they’ve been so much easier to live with! I still get neck and shoulder pain but it’s a 3 rather than an 8 on the scale! I think I’ll end up trimming them again, but it’s true that I hold so many memories with the adventure of growing and maintaining them. Those little blonde bad boys were crazy!! If I did it all again I’d grow my hair for another few years! Family are thriving, thank you! Blessings, to you, friend.

    Good to see you bro, I'm having some really bad dry scalp and flakes like never before... I'm not promoting any products, I use dolkylocks Dread shampoo, I do a acv every 3,5 months and I have used Neutrogena bar soap??? 🤔 Do you dry your locks or air dry? Not a newbie at this and I try to learn something new Always. Keep posting and let em grow ✌🏼

  • @baggeeboy
    @baggeeboy4 жыл бұрын

    Mike Sumner I use a hair dryer because the damp climate where Iive means it would take too long to air dry, and I know others who have had problems with dread rot and mould. Takes about 90 minutes to squeeze and dry them all properly! I haven’t done an ACV for years now. I get dandruff every so often but that’s just natural as the scalp sheds to make way for new skin. Thanks Mike!

    9 months here and I’m loving my beautiful dreads❤️ can’t wait for a maintenance . How often do you tidy up your roots?

  • @baggeeboy
    @baggeeboy4 жыл бұрын

    madame lowbrow hey! Once every 2 months. This gives me about 2 inches new growth to work with and doesn’t put too much pressure on the roots. I still palm roll most days to encourage the loose hair to lay against the dread and eventually become combined with it. Hope this helps!

  • @jamiegoforth
