  Can anyone authoritatively state where & when this recital took place?? Ann Arbor, MI, perhaps circa 1981 ? If so, I was in the audience and recall how she gestured with her arms to control the premature explosion of justly earned applause

  Очень некрасиваясе сестра и по всей видимости обделена каким-то нибыло талантом. Очень посредственный голос.Каллас наделена не только внешней красотой, но и внешней и внутренней интелегентностью, что ещё больше придаёт ей благородство. Каллас всю свою жизнь находилась в среде очень культурных и. Высокоморальных людей. А Джеки-это посредственность до мозга костей». Правильно Мария делала, что держалась от своей матери и сестры , подальше. Её « родственнички» ни когда не были достойны этой великой женщины.

  Is she singing, perhaps, something from Charpentier during her program? Lily was from another Century. However, I have come to know this wonderful coloratura soprano who here astounds with her ravishing voice at 76. There is so much beauty and passion to her singing that one just marvels at this very late performance in life! The last 2 segments are "Salut a' la France" from Gaetano Donizetti's "La Fille du Régiment" and "Les Filles de Cadiz". SHE IS PHENOMENA, the divine Miss Pons! May 12, 2024

  Не понимаю с какой целью был снят этот фильм.Показать сестру Марии Каллас? Кому это интересно? Что она тоже была талантлива? Вполне возможно.Только кто мешал ей так же учиться оттачивать свой талант , как ее сестра.Тут кто то написал что Мария боялась что Джекки отодвинет ее в искусстве пения.Да ведь Джекки старше Марии на целых 6лет и что ж она сидела и не " отодвигала" Марию? К чему это йорничание? Мария в 13лет поступила в конснрваторию и упорно трудилась .Мало того она уже вскоре сама зарабатывала на свою учебу.Даже сейчас у Джекки слышны ревность и зависть к Марии.Что там было в семье на самом деле неизвестно' но то что Мария была обделена любовью семьи это заметно.Просто так молоденькая девочка не уходит из семьи.Им нужны были только деньги и без конца.А когда Марии это надоело тут же стала плохая и жадная.Как то никто не вспоминает что она давала мастер классы зачастую бесплатно в Джульярдской школе и платила стипендии некоторым ученикам что бы они могли учиться.И вот это нездоровое внимание к ее личной жизни...Стыдно господа...

  She hardly "past her prime!" Her voice sounds full and magnificent here. She was the greatest lyric soprano of the 20th century bar none, if that's how you classify her voice. Artistically, she was absolutely peerless. Elly Ameling comes second. Then, Joan Sutherland, et al.

  There’s NOBODY on the face of the planet Earth that can come close to the unbelievably beautiful execution of this complicated aria! Mme. Sills ruined the opera! After this talented artist exposed her voice, it would have been suicidal to attempt to sing it! Bravo Mme. Sills!!!!
