Great reaction as always! Spring breakers is about grammy robbing her of the nomination from the album CRASH!!! She was outspoken about this and snubbed the Grammy's on insta(?) saying “Me not being nominated for a grammy for crash is like mia goth not being nominated for an oscar for pearl and only further proves that people don’t wanna see hot evil girls thrive" so she name dropped some of her most commercially and critically successful songs here and sticked a middle finger to the grammy's lol Staples Center is where the Grammy Award is held, and Spring Breakers is a movie about broke girls trying to rob their way to a party town (James Franco and Selena Gomez are in it), the "everytime I..." is actually a sample of Britney Spear's song "Everytime", which is a soundtrack in the movie where the iconic scene goes down where they did the armed robberies, so you're actually onto something when you mentioned Britney lol

Brilliant song by a brilliant artist. Thank god for artists who use their craft to cope because at times it was all I had to help me cope too. When people close to you are the ones who are the most distant in your times of need, there are still strangers out there making art to help you get by because that’s how they’re getting by too, and I think that para-social sense of community is so important, special, and integral for a world that wants to heal. Thank you two for highlighting such a special song and artist 💛 I love you always, mom!

I know exactly what it feels like to discover Joni Mitchell, her songs, and her voice over a period of about 35 years. I feel like I've just watched someone squish most of that emotional experience into about two hours. It's like comparing a lifetime at my computer desk to a car accident. I've seen what happened to my spine over two decades, and can't imagine someone having that permanent change done to them in the space of a second. Joni is like that. She's a car crash of emotion. But unline the car accident, the permanent change she leaves on all of us is wonderful. My heart has been scarred by her in ways I hope will never fade.

I am so obsessed with this album I am watching ALL the reaction videos. love you btw. Will watch more. California was written after pandemic started, no gay clubs open etc, dropped by her record label. Like everything thing was going to happened and then it didn’t. So sad. I have listened to these songs as separate pieces until now. Throughout this reaction you made me understand how they are connected and why they are in this order. But it didn't ACTUALLY hit me until the very last song... "Invisible Wounds" immediatelly became my favourite song after hearing it for the first time. I feel every detail she says in it so deeply. I tend to be the person to try to fix others but I realized in my current relationship that it's not possible for me to fix them. This song showed me that it is okay, that my partner needs to fix themselves but I can still be there for them an love them through it. I thought of it as a lovesong but from a very different angle...which discribes my realtionship quite perfectly. That's why I was soooooo looking forward to your reaction to the last song. I previously didn't understand the heavy personal meaning of the song for Aurora herself and that she probably isn't talking to a partner or a friend but to ALL OF US. This made the song even 10x better for me! The perfect closure we needed within this album. SHE IS SO AMAZING! And so are you! Thank you so much for this reaction ❤
