    @@DanielKellert nice! i've been having a hard time finding a blanket that fits my turbo (it's a massive one on a boat engine). do you think wrapping my turbo with this heat wrap would do the same thing as a blanket? Yes, I realize it's way harder than installing a simple blanket...

    Dang I’m jealous of that shop. I have a 1950s shack that barely fits a car with the doors open. It has served me well though! Looks good, the paint will help a ton. You’re totally right about getting back at it after vacation. I should be working on my classic motorcycle rebuild but instead I’m sitting here watching videos.

    my radio often changes radio stations, switches to CD and AUX inputs, sometimes just makes a loud static noise, occasionally turns off on its own, and then turns itself back on at volume 40 (which scares me every time!). It does this without me touching any controls, turning the wheel, turning on the wiper blade, anything. It could happen with the car on in park. It usually resets when I turn the car off - but I have no idea how long it will be until it goes haywire again (sometimes it takes a few minutes, sometimes over an hour). This happens no matter whether I start with the radio off or on, or whether I'm using AUX/CD's.my radio often changes radio stations, switches to CD and AUX inputs, sometimes just makes a loud static noise, occasionally turns off on its own, and then turns itself back on at volume 40 (which scares me every time!). 16:30 arent you worried about boiling your brake fluid? Kinda close to those lines

  • @DanielKellert
    @DanielKellert9 күн бұрын

    The heat wrap on the downpipe actually does a really good job at retaining the heat in the pipes. I might heat wrap the lines to protect them more but even after that crazy burnout, the lines still weren’t that hot.

  • @whitefd2

    @DanielKellert good to hear. I have mine heat taped and it rubbed a lot putting the down pipe in so i figured if its that tight of a fit itll be hot. I'm in bc and itll be 40°c this week so i gotta make sure it stays cool lol

    You'd make close to 500 without the restrictive exhaust. Awesome setup. I'm hoping to get my k24a turbo to the same levels 😎

  • @DanielKellert
    @DanielKellert14 күн бұрын

    There is no restrictive exhaust, it’s literally a 3” downpipe dump when the cutout is open. If I didn’t have the exhaust leak & a proper reading wideband it might make close to 440-450. That would be maxing out the fuel system though.

  • @ivtec4fun55
    @ivtec4fun5514 күн бұрын

    Your wideband should be facing downward, the way yours in upside down, condensation get stuck inside of it and cant drip off. It's probably why your sensor failed. OK yea and tuner said the same thing haha. K series numbers!!!

    Ported heads will give you way more power trust me. I did just that and made a shit load more power. The felpro new mls gaskets the permatorque gaskets are actually good. I’d run them on my subie. Put them on the wife’s Honda after Brent from pfi said they are good. But I run the roger Clark motor sports, head gaskets on my Subaru from flat irons tuning. Stock heat range plugs.

    Haha build break down. Money. Roll 100 dollar bills up and shove it into the intake tube and bam. High powered Subaru lol. Actually subie parts have dropped by half from 10 years ago. Most of the grlbgt crowd gave up and now it’s back to the mechanics car haha.

    I make 400 wheel torque every day. That’s about the limit for daily driving with any longevity. I still make regular repairs. But I just lost a trans due to excessive heat over a long race type road drive. But 400 wheel torque is insane Omni my 2200 lbs car. I logged 72% throttle on the street and it blows the tires off.
