They supply the chassis , you supply the drivetrain & battery. They avoid some tariffs, and you get cash over the transom. More importantly, the American driver gets a powerful, compact, AFFORDABLE car. They'll be Hunky, you'll be Dory. You're welcome.

Some say talk is cheap, but when you look at who's talking at Lucid; Wildig (McLaren, Bugatti), Lickfold (JLR, Aston Martin), Austin (Mclaren), then add in Monnet (Red Bull F1), Jenkins (MX5 ND), and CEO Rawlinson (JLR, Lotus, Tesla)... Lucid has an incredibly deep bench of engineering talent from the "feels good to drive" end of the automotive spectrum.

Because Lucid Group is a latecomer in the automobile market, it needs to find a completely different marketing method. How about using the K-pop group New Jeans as a global model? OK, but do something Extraordinary with it, like drive to the North Pole, cross the Sahara or the Outback in it. Tow a horse box, pointing out that no exhaust pipes means the horse breathes easy. Establish it as THE choice of pace car for foot/bike races. Again: no exhaust means no smog in the face of contestants. Add rack/mounting points for sports equipment (kayak, windsurf gear) or a bike rack option that includes a charger point to top up an e-bike while in transit.

Pushing a car to its limits js undeniably important. What other ways were Gravity prototypes tested? High-speed changes in steering direction at roll (think cornering on a windy mountain road) is extremely stressful for a driver and a car carrying a family being able to take that with grace is beyond necessary. Different load balances are also things that should be tested, like these same conditions with 3 kids in the back or maybe dome heavy sports eauipment. Would love to see more behind-the-scenes footage, it's super interesting!

The design of the gravity has allowed for decisions that are way more important than many people initially realize. The folding middle and rear seats are indispensible and the extra long resr passenger doors are a must for easy accessibility. Creature comforts like kick-to-open, power tailgates and frunks, and soft-close doors can be added to any car, but interior space and an engineering-first approach to that degree is only in a Lucid. Extremely excited to see this come to market.
