You are COMPLETELY right there!!!!!. If you wet your hands before handling the fish, it will not harm the fish. I myself always have a pair of thin gloves that I soak in the water before handling the fish !! The pike is the only fish that can take damage from it as it has a slimly layer that keeps the cold away in arctic waters. But with gloves that are soaked in the water you fish in, it also works well, You never wish a fisherman good luck where I live, we say crapy fish to you. 🙂I have been a fisheries management consultant for 38 years

Increasing to thousands of tourists and therefore building more hydropower plants is not a sustainable plan - Una needs soft tourism for conservation of flora and fauna if at all otherwise mankind will rape this place like it did with others in the world. Wherever the homosapiens appeared on the surface of the land it displaced all other lifeforms and even extincted them. Beautiful film about how fragile a part of an untouched nature can become and which chastens me.

Such a beautiful area. I'm from Scotland and we have similar river systems with no water in them because some have been dammed for power generation. The people of Scotland do not benefit from any of this. Big companies make money and something must change to protect these last bastions of natural beauty like the UNA. Tight lines

I hate to see this river "contaminated" with catchabel hatchery rainbow trout just for the sake of touristik flyfisher business! It is after all a devastating development of a natural habitat! Slovenia fishery agency could do much better to protect these treasured rivers for the future! 😣 I like the video but that is exactly what drives this business and in the end it will ruin the rivers!

A beautiful film and the passion of all involved shines through. Has catch and release been legalised in Germany or do you still have slippery fish that slip through your fingers?

Lovely film and the message re C&R rings true. I'm from Colorado and C&R is standard practice amongst fly fishermen and the evidence for C&R is abundantly clear - C&R is good for fish and fisheries and with care (barbless hooks, don't overtire the fish, don't pull the fish out of the water for more than a few seconds, especially when they are recovering, allow the fish to recover in the net (and always use a net) before releasing them) the fish will do well and go on to lead happy lives and create more fish. Anyone who says different simply does not understand how to take care of fish. Good on ya for promoting C&R!

Three weeks ago I had the pleasure of returning to Bosnia for the first time in 40 years. I had a blast as I went, among other things, fly fishing in Una National Park. It was nothing short of phantastic! What a true wonder of nature that definitely, at all means, needs to be protected! I'll be back, for sure.

I was born 48 years ago on the banks of the river Una. I was raised to guard the river Una, and that's how I raise my children and their children. NO ONE WILL EVER BUILD A SINGLE HYDRO POWER PLANT ON THE UNA RIVER!!!! The 200,000 of us who were born and live by the river Una will not allow that. All other well-intentioned people of the world are WELCOME to enjoy the beauty of the Una River.

Grosses Kino Leute. Kompliment.
