Good on you guys for adopting and maintaining that stretch of river. I love the “perch” on the cliff side. That has to be breathtaking spot to fish from. Pretty hazardous too!

Keeping our rivers healthy is key for the future of fishing , unfortunately we are abusing our rivers to the point they can no longer sustain the fish stock they were meant to . It’s good to see the change that is being made currently to help change that and help restore what nature has provided to us . Keep up the good work :-) Happy Trails

I love fishing for sea trout in rivers in northern germany and i totally understand the fascination you have for salmon. it is a gift to catch a strong sea trout and you have to fish many hours for it. but nothing makes you sleep better then help the river and the fish to get back into its natural status. i was so happy when i saw the first trouts spawn in a spawning place i have restored...

Most rivers in Iceland are CnR only, so it can't be harvesting.

Fish are meant to be killed and ate. But there are other factors that led to their demise

humans have overfished and destroyed waterways. Fish were mass culled for centuries used as pig feed and fertiliser. Food wastage worldwide is around 50%, it is out fault and it is up to us as individuals to fix it or it will only hurt us more.
