I wonder what would be MPG in 5 to 10 year running just on 87 vs one running on 93. What impact does it have on the life of the motor?

I have been running nothing but 87 in the Ryker now with no issues. I also ran a Suzuki Sv650s for 11 years wirh nothing but 87 octane. The Suzuki ran just as good as it did 11 years later. I traded the Suzuki for a Liter Bike because I wanted something larger. If the manual says it will run on 87, it will run on 87. It will be fine.

I don't know much about the Ryker but the Spyder RT limited will run like crap if I put in 89 octane and if it's not 100% gas it really runs bad.i use 91 octane and 100% gas what the factory say .I tired to sneak the lower octane and every time it knocks after a few miles it dies and it just sucks.so I stick with what the factory say.but thank you for the information

Anyone searching or viewing this video is looking for one thing - how to get that top screw off. This is the one thing of value in any video as we all do not want to have to open the bike (clamshell) to get at one screw. Unfortunately, this is exactly what you didn't 'show - making this video useless to many. A simple tripod would have solved this. I'd rather watch you struggle for 10 minutes to learn from what you did or what I shouldn't do. Your videography was clear, and the lighting was good, but the content was a bit lacking for me. Sorry.
