    Do you think Philippines would be created as country if not of Spain? NO. Only Spanish molded the Philippines by colonizing all the warring and divided islands. Spanish put these into map and made it one territory which they then called Philippines.

    What are you saying that the real Independence Day of the Philippines was not taught in school, it was taught in my school when I was in grade 6, now I am in grade 8 and I still remember that, you are the one who is wrong!

  • @thecinnamonginger
    @thecinnamonginger26 күн бұрын

    NOPE IT WASN'T. THE HISTORY OF PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY DIDN'T TEACH IN MOST SCHOOLS ESPECIALLY IN GRADE SCHOOLS BECAUSE THE CONTEXT IS TOO LONG TO DIGEST BY THE CHILDREN. THE SIBIKA AT KULTURA & HEKASI TEXTBOOK'S CONTEXT ARE TOO LIMITED AS WELL BUT IT DEPENDS ON THE EDUCATORS. MOSTLY THIS INFORMATION FALLS ON "FUN FACTS & TRIVIAS" GIVEN BY THE TEACHERS DURING THE LESSON

    They did not celebrate Christmas because they believe that Christmas is rooted in Pagan Holiday which is true. BUT they "USED" to celebrate Christmas in their early years (circa 1913). Brother Emiliano Agustin's poem entitled "Ang Pasko Natin" is one of many proofs that early INC used to celebrate Christmas.

    Mano mo tradition in philippines is pre hispanic. Not from spain. Indonesians too practice this to their elders.

  • @thecinnamonginger

    Wrong. "Mano po" began during Spanish occupation in the Philippines. "Mano" means hand in Spanish and Mano po translate as "May I Have Your Hand?"

    READ --- and why do we support a country where their VP and government officials aided in PARENTAL KIDNAPPING of a child of US citizens. They also aided the mother in getting away with trying to KILL THAT CHILD and the American, as it was RECORED. And lastly, the child is now living without the only person who protected her from a very abusive mother in poverity while the mother has been recored gaining money through sexual acts, even under the child's name. The most disgusting part, THEY ARE ONLY DOING SO BECAUSE HE IS AN AMERICAN. And yet US TAX DOLLARS, over 250 billion, paid by that US also, pays these officials to hurt his child beyond repair because unless you have money, which you will be charged at a different price as they give you a yes sir, to spend here, they simply want you to keep your head down and kiss their >>>>>>>. Its not a nice country or nice people. And the US should be tired of their government wasting hard working American's earned money on trash. IF YOU REFUSE TO PROTECT CHILDREN YOU HAVE NO RIGHT PUTTING OUT YOUR HAND. But that is the way here, so do not make yourself to be better, because even the worse in America will die for a child, ANY CHILD, while you abuse their children and leave them with killers while protecting that killer, even it is far beyond your laws. --- STOP SUPPORTING COUNTRIES THAT DOES NOT SUPPORT US. Yes, if you have money and like being SCAMMED while people are nice to you its great. Great if you love living with racist people, even better/ BUT this country has NO PLACE IN THE REAL WORLD when it cant even stand for their laws, outsiders and their children. Please stop supporting those who do not support you. And just because you have a good time, while being charged at the outsider rates, and did not notice the scmas around you, well, think of that little girl who lost her father only because he is white. And its not the first time.

    it is bro, it is. and also new year, when light shows and firecrackers are lighted all around the city. it's not just in one place. even residents will light their own firecrackers up to 12mn, and it's like you're in the middle of colorful, bright warzone. btw, when you notice filipinos staring, you can just smile, wave and greet them. they're just curious, and will immediately return the warm smiles. and, when trying their food, never be shy to ask how they're supposed to be eaten/enjoyed("Halo-halo" for one, needs to be mixed first. many "need" to be dipped in some sauce. most of the food should be eaten with rice, or they might taste too flavorful). watch the locals light up, when you ask them how to appreciate the food/culture. and yes you can ask waiters, even the guards, heck, even the guests next table. they are a patient and hospitable people. treat them as a friend, and they'll treat you like a family. it is highly recommended to interact with the locals. googling can only give you so much info. the locals can guide you to a deeper appreciation of the culture. it is mostly a culture of respect, friendliness and inclusivity.
