I have often wondered if Hicks sawn off shotgun scene 'for close encounters' was a nod to Reese in Terminator; regardless Michael Biehn is one of the most underrated actors of his generation and a fan favourite of mine, Hicks character deserved so much more and certainly not what Alien 3 did, which was a shocking betrayal to the actor and fans of the franchise. I still believe Alien 3 and Resurrection should be reomved from the timeline as hyperspace nightmares, the BlomKamp movie would have been amazing.

I think Michel is a little confused about which film Bill directed. Notably, he did direct 1997's Frailty.

My fav Scifi!! We are ending this year with Memoirs up the wazzo.. I actually would be interested to read MB's... Survivor of open heart surgery, a stroke, alcohol abuse, being recognized for his protayal of Naval personnel time again by the US Navy and why is he so very freakin' underated as an actor..

I fell in love with David the first moment I saw him in a Dr. Pepper commercial. I don't know what it was about him, but I couldn't get enough, so when this movie was advertised, I knew I HAD to see it! And I LOVED it! But oddly, the nude scenes were my LEAST favorite parts at the time. 😂

American werewolf was so great that I bought the other one which was American werewolf in Paris and was sooo disappointed cause that werewolf transformation literally was all mechanical and was so fake looking that I ended up throwing that one away, so werewolf in London is my only go to!!! Great job guys

Wow was wondering who this was. Thought it was a director or something, then the Camera panned in and I knew it was the Main star. Time hasn’t been to kind to him , which is a shame because he seems like a really nice bloke. Mind you he still has a Naked Shower scene with Jenny Agutter under his belt. Every Man of our generation would have given their left leg for that memory. I had serious crush on her too. When I was coming of age I saw her in Walkabout. I was in Love from then on. Ha ha

Yes he is! I met him when I was working at a hotel in downtown San Diego. A good decent Guy who Was very engaging And Really appreciate his fans Because I have to admit that I did get a little Fanboy excited! LOL I have met quite a few big stars and celebrities. Some say that one should never meet their idols because it could have disastrous, disappointing results, and I have encountered those individuals. However, Michael Birth is one of the really great ones!

I do respect what Arnold is saying though I'm confused on what makes the Republican way the right way though I understand that is his belief. What we are seeing has been around for a long time. Trump just allowed the quiet part to be said out loud again. It existed in the Democratic party as Dixiecrats and moved to the Republican Party. Both parties should balance out each other but right now we are beyond that. So what is the Republican way he speaks of that works? It can't be the budget because it's been sometime since Republicans have balanced the budget. Historically, the United States economy has performed better on average under the administration of Democratic presidents than Republican presidents since World War II.

56:50 Saying that Fincher killed Hicks and Newt is not 100% accurate. Fincher was forced to work with a script he didn't like and didn't want. His only "choice" was to finish the movie or walk away. That movie was toxic waste before it was even made. Studio greed, big egos, etc. Rex Pickett already gave us the ultimate behind the scenes of how that sausage was made, and it was disgusting. btw, that movie could not have been made without Sigourney Weaver. She certainly had more pull than Fincher, sided with the wrong people, was only interested in her record-breaking paycheck, and helped destroy what Aliens had created.

Michael Biehn is very memorable as Hicks. He imbued Hicks with humanity and presence. He really made a mark in that brilliant movie. Michael Biehn is an extremely competent actor, but underappreciated and underused.
