This is mesmerizing to watch, and somehow very touching as well. In slow motion her movements evoke a feeling of tenderness. Noting how she uses both her beak, and her feet like hands to wrap and smooth the strands. She even uses the tips of her tail feathers to place and manage a long part of the strand, while at the same time using the gentle contact of her tail to help stabilize the work of her wings. Surely she must live in a way that is fully adapted to the pace at which her wings and heart beats. What is incredibly speedy and brief to us, no doubt is slow and careful for her. I wonder if she is dreaming of the tiny ones to come as she winds round and round, with such gentleness and feeling of tender care? In her world there will be long and lingering days and nights in which to protect them, feed them, and watch them grow.
