  We have STEAM week starting tomorrow. I had the maze idea except I love how you had them use the straws to move it! Definitely using that idea! We have 2 weeks of summer school left.

  Congratulations on the new building. You will love not having the sound carry over from other rooms. The down side is the portable rooms will be hotter and colder due to less insulation than standard construction. Have a great summer!

  So glad you like the adjutable desk. Many teachers like them or a standing desk. Can you estimate how many extra reams of paper you need monthly beyond the school's paper allowance they give you?

  I'm actually not sure. Usually two reams get me through two weeks. Depending if we are doing projects. I think I'm good on paper because my school just restocked on paper! But thank you for all the amazing gifts!!!

  Lots of fun activities for the end of the school year! I don't know what your 4th grade science curriculum studies are but if you would like some models for the earth's crust, rotation of planets around the sun, anatomy, acrylic block specimens, rock samples, physcial science batteries/electricity, etc. then add some to your list for the fall. Summer will provide some time to know your whole year's curriculum since you started mid-year and know if you need anything like that for science. Hope you have a great year end and summer!

  I can keep as much stuff in the closet as I can fit. But everything touching the walls has to be taken down because the custodians come and paint every summer. We can't have anything on the floor either because they wax the floors as well. So the closet and open shelves I can shove stuff into too!

  What pencil sharpener do you have? For printing, make sure your browser is up to date. We are a google school, so if chrome is out of date, the printing gets messed up until it's updated.

  I had a traumatic experience student teaching as well....Long story short, I went through a strong depression for 2 years after with no attempt to teach (although I did tutor) . While I was a teacher for a short amount of time eventually, I'm currently transitioning into another field that will (hopefully) be better for my mental health. Thank you for sharing your story. You aren't alone.
