Yes definitely add more picture books! Especially since some new third grade students may fall in the middle of 1st grade for reading level. Picture books and chapter book combinations was a must for my second grade class. And the ones i sent to third i know they will still enjoy

You are so organized, it all looks amazing! For the cabinet that is missing a shelf, check the bottom to see if the shelf is just sitting there! We have those exact cabinets and plastic shelf holders and they break easily, so sometimes they just set the shelf on the bottom. You can buy replacement pieces rehang that shelf if so. Good luck with your year!

Your room is really coming together and looking great! FYI Teacher Created brand has a magnetic rainbow border. I didn't know the brand of your paper borders if it would match. But if interested or wanting a solid color add it to your list. I have 2 supplies questions. Do you have to provide your own hand soap at the sink? Do you have black markers for your student white boards? I plan to order a few more things next week from your wishlist. So if there are any other startup items needed please add them to the list. Would your neck fan help while doing setup without AC? Looking forward to seeing the rest of your setup videos!

I would try to do the double boarder effect of the blue on the rainbow. Play with the width of it. ❤ Edit: I noticed you have enough space on the other side of the wall. Could you make a faux board on the other side of the whiteboard to balance it out? 😍

FYI: that cabinet that you said doesn't have a shelf at 9:09 does. It's just laying on the bottom of the cabinet. It needs the clips to put it in. Ask your maintenance crew if they have clips and if they can fix it for you. I had the same thing happen to me with a shelf in a cabinet. ☺️

Good eye! I noticed that it had holes on the sides so I will ask maintenance once we are on contract!

Totally forgot to drop my suggestion in the last video! I’d say remove the rainbow border on the top (small) board. Instead use the black background (fabric or replace with paper) and do a quote with words or letters in rainbow/bright colors! 🌈

Or if you redo your rules, you can make the left part of it a bright color to match and hang those against the black background. 🫶🏼
