    Looks great. I'm surprised you didn't wash the floor down to get rid of all that dust before sticking the sound deadener down so it would stick better.

    Just bought a great 54 two-ten that needs a headliner and window lace. This is extremely helpful. Thank you!

    I can't watch this, too hurtful, whole bottom should be cut off and replaced, primer filler could have finished the job,

    1st time I’ve seen anyone bed the glass in this way. I can't believe both pieces of door glass Fully bedded into the horizontal rubber / metal U-cannel that easily. Seems to me “easy in” means “easy out”. Most folks I've seen install the rubber & U channel onto the glass on a bench using a rubber hammer w/ a fair amount of force. I've assembled it on the bench & even pinched the metal U-channel with pliers to make a tighter fit on the front glass & it still pulls out after installation. The urethane is the only trick in my opinion that would keep this glass from pulling back out. The 4- door sedan I’m working on does not belong to me but the glass is dragging too much & pulling out. I suspect the non- original rough-cut glass may be too big. I may try the urethane trick as well.

    Great work for the 57 Chevy it was worth the restoration n a new engine would be worth installing n new upholstery for the interior

    Good job! How did you get the back seat out? My is stuck and the owner lost the key to the trunk

  • @bornfreebuilds
    @bornfreebuilds6 ай бұрын

    Knock the front of the seat base up with your knee, it should pop out of the pockets it locks into and then lift out. For the back cushion, two tabs fold around the seat frame on each wheel tub down low. Straighten the tabs and lift up on seat back

    @@bornfreebuilds I’m restoring a 57 2 door as well and looking for a welder. I’ve been going back and forth on the Lincoln 140 & Lincoln 180. Any thoughts?

  • @bornfreebuilds
    @bornfreebuilds6 ай бұрын

    If you can swing the 180, it will do a little heavier material. However, the 140 should be adequate for sheet metal work. 👍🏼👍🏼
