You are one smart guy .You make your work look easy .I loved my 57 Chev , drove it all over North America , almost every state , Mexico , across Canada couple of times ...Best car ever built ...

Finally watched all the videos in order. You make it look easy!! Like the color you chose and those rally wheels were a cool choice too. Looks awesome, man.

Great job on the 57. I think the wheels and tires look cool.

I can see right now that I am going to have to hire someone to install my windows, runners, and felt tracks! I am way too picky I guess. Have had my 56 for over 50 years, and I have had to glue, patch and jury rig way too many times. This time it's going to be done by the book. ;) Not a show car but it is my car. You have good skills and work hard. Enjoyed watching you work.

Thanks and thanks for following me on this a 1969 olds 88 is next connecting rod bearings are in and torque down to 35 foot lbs the oil pan is back up and the sway arm is reattached to the frame rail

Yeah trimming and whether strips and felt can be a pain in places where you would expect to be tighter and have extra material 😅😮❤

1st time I’ve seen anyone bed the glass in this way. I can't believe both pieces of door glass Fully bedded into the horizontal rubber / metal U-cannel that easily. Seems to me “easy in” means “easy out”. Most folks I've seen install the rubber & U channel onto the glass on a bench using a rubber hammer w/ a fair amount of force. I've assembled it on the bench & even pinched the metal U-channel with pliers to make a tighter fit on the front glass & it still pulls out after installation. The urethane is the only trick in my opinion that would keep this glass from pulling back out. The 4- door sedan I’m working on does not belong to me but the glass is dragging too much & pulling out. I suspect the non- original rough-cut glass may be too big. I may try the urethane trick as well.

Tri5s look strange without the glass in. As soo as all the glass goes back in it transforms them. Great feat to do the screens on your own. I had to get some to help me with my front screen. The weather strip kit I got was all straight and I had to make all the bends myself but I was lucky and didnt get any separation like you did.

I think straight felts would be preferable if I were to do it again.

watch out for the chinese chrome it will cost in the long run

bernardston auto salvage has 4 or 6 sets 55 56 57 pontiac and chevy are the same bernardston mass next to turners falls its the two door stuff you cant get used
