I hated the Bolt at first then I saw many EV reviewers why is a good entry for first time EV buyers. Now, my cousin has one (even though she did wanted a Tesla but wasn't in their budget) and she likes it. Took it to Vegas once, doubt her family do that again because the charging speed but hey I'm happy for her.

Buy a used one. Prices have really come down. Also, if you own your home, you wil save on fuel and maintenance. Purchase price is not the whole story.

The Ford, GM and Stellantis UAW contract combined with Chinese EV manufacturing in Mexico, I now understand, forces some catastrophic cost cutting for the Detroit Three. The UAW labor contract will drive all US auto manufacturing to Turkey, Viet Nam, India and Eastern European countries due to the lower labor cost, more government subsidies and reduced bureaucracy, less government restrictions (like DEI) and hatred for corporations that we see from the Democrat party.
Biggest selling point would be the ability to change battery packs as the technology gets better so buy a ev today say a byd and be able to change to new battery if wanted two years down the line with a cost of course

Amazing. I saw a shorter video about this many years ago. Good to see it is still evolving. It's interesting that amidst all of the conversation about global warming, you hear almost nothing about the horrors of Cobalt mining in Africa or the potential alternatives. Companies that use rare Earth minerals for batteries should all be investing large amounts in this technology to get it across the line. It seems that evolution in the areas of nuclear energy and alternative storage are really the ideal targets to address greenhouse gases.

Seems like a lot of hype. Electrical efficiency is more important than horsepower. Heavy reliance on software for phase changes is a motor that can fail at some point especially in hot climates. Nice that the motor is lightweight which is very important, but many would argue that it is a moot point when batteries are still heavy. That is why efficiency is important. An efficient motor does not need a heavier battery. I also like that it could potentially run cooler.
Lucid power and torque density is still nearly double that of the MAGNA electric motor.

Just another "new battery that will change the game", When?, 5 years, 10 years?. Ive seen this same story almost weekly for years and we are still getting the same lithium Ion batteries in new vehicles. Maybe just report when its actually being used in a commercially available something.
Maybe put pressure on your governments to stop the sale of vehicles using batteries funded by Sudanese and Congo slave labor.
